161152892 | 7 months ago | No drama - I have updated them (I do a regular check across Australia) |
161152892 | 7 months ago | Welcome to OSM and thanks for your edits - FYI - Phone numbers in Australia should be added to OSM according to the following format with the country and regional code +61 x xxxx xxxx, +61 xxx xxx xxx for mobiles as per the wiki guidelines osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Australian_features#Phone_Numbers . I have just updated a recent addition that you made to OSM – Cheers |
161116065 | 7 months ago | Better still - just make sure any source that you use for mapping on OSM has a compatible licence, We have access to many such data sources. osm.wiki/Australian_Data_Sources |
161116065 | 7 months ago | FYIt- That planning site has a non compatible licence for osm (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/au/) however the LIST Background can be used to check road names (available as a background layer in ID editor) |
160946181 | 7 months ago | Which property is 2 Crombie Lane? |
160700539 | 7 months ago | Its best practice to have a meaningful changeset comment rather than just "minor edit". nN this case it could have been "updates to Spirit of Tasmania traffic lanes". That assists other mappers in understanding what has changed. Cheers |
160779495 | 7 months ago | Thanks for the edits - In Tassie we also have access to LIST data as another background imagery. This can help with obscure roads. Always try and link them to existing roads. Cheers |
160264514 | 8 months ago | Hi Jack - for addr:state the norm is to use abbreviated and uppercase NSW. I have just updated a recent edit of yours |

160010353 | 8 months ago | Hi fwonp - you dont need to save after adding just one object. You could do multiple houses in the same area and then save them all at once. This is a much more efficient way to add data and will save you heaps of time. Cheers - Phil |
159854039 | 8 months ago | Please take some time to actually adjust the house to the actual imagery when its so good. The Microsoft building outlines were created years ago when the imagery was not as good. Most need some realignment. |

159370629 | 8 months ago | Hi Rowan - I have removed the 1800 phone number from the payphone as that is not the number to call that phone. 1800 numbers for business etc are usually tagged using the phone:AU tag. There may be a special tag for the operator of a service (in this case the payphone) but its not one I readily know (maybe phone:operator:AU??). For ease of reading its also OK to add spaces in the numbers but I know this can be difficult in some apps. osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Australian_features#Phone_Numbers Cheers |
158969295 | 9 months ago | When adding addr:state its preferred to use the abbreviated state in uppercase (ie VIC) . I have just updated all the edits in this area. osm.wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines/Australian_features#Address_State_Formats Cheers - Phil |
158482603 | 9 months ago | Not sure this is now a reservoir. New covered reservoirs to the south - check the ESRI imagery. I think its all being turned into parkland. I will be there in the next couple of weeks and will try to get some mapillary imagery. |
158394361 | 9 months ago | Interesting - I wasnt aware that lot/parcel numbers were actually used as 'addresses'. I thought rural addressing (distance along a road etc) was now the norm. Thanks for the update. |
158394361 | 9 months ago | Hi Bob - whats with the housenumber for Glencoe Station - doesnt look right? osm.org/edit?way=223387374#map=21/-29.9262608/151.7241219 |
