As mentioned yesterday I went through the neighbourhood to map the house numbers. It's nearly 50% complete and sure looks great on the map, but the search on the main domain openstreetmap.org doesn't work as I expected. Why doesn't it return the real location of an address when I type it in with all necessary information? (Try "Raamfeld 198, Hamburg" for an example.) However I'm going to complete the area nearby. Unfortunately the weather isn't as good as yesterday, and with the snow it's hard to write down the house numbers and their location. But I'm working on it.
I'm also drawing all the houses. In detail, I'm drawing a box around the whole ground of an house, including the garden as well. Is there any advice on this? I'd really appreciate that, thanks in advance!

Werde gleich zum lokalen Edeka-Markt gehen, und auf dem Weg die Häuser fotografieren bzw. mir die Hausnummern notieren. Das Raamfeld (Lemsahl, Deutschland) sieht schon recht nett aus, bin mir aber nicht sicher, ob das Abzeichnen der Häuse so schön aussieht. Yahoo-Imagery ist zwar nett, aber halt nicht so detailreich, daher bleibt es meist bei den Umrissen. Was meint ihr? Abzeichen oder würdet ihr es bei den Hausnummern belassen?

I'm very new to OpenStreetMap, I came here after listening to a podcast from "Chaos Radio Computer Club".
Today I managed to map a lot in my neighbourhood, but then suddenly, after editing for about one hour or so, that f***ing program of JOSM crashed. F*** it! Please, community, develope a better tool, as this one is a pain in the a** to work with. Thanks!
