148661572 | over 1 year ago | DWG agrees, please do not map non-existing railways or revert the deletion of non-existing railways. Ticket#2024031510000304 |
146515808 | over 1 year ago | I have reverted yesterday's changesets. Dear Barroszt, if you intend to update thy cycleway data in OSM for the city, please do so one step at a time like the community requested - do not make uploads that break something and promise to fix it later. Perhaps it would be a good idea to discuss your plans on https://community.openstreetmap.org/c/communities/pl/40 so that you get a good community buy-in. A DWG colleague of mine has blocked your account after they noticed your reverts; I will lift that block now but if you do further mass edits in this area that leave the map worse than it was before and that lead to complaints from the community, then your account may be blocked again. |
148639339 | over 1 year ago | In this changeset you have deleted more than 400 buildings, and created many new buildings. Your description "Added Buildings" is therefore insufficient (and please drop #hotosm-project-16341 #osmuganda #missingmaps #gainzone #makererestudents from the changeset comment, it's enough to have that in the "hashtag" tag). Next time you delete buildings please provide an adequate explanation - have they been demolished? Were they wrongly mapped? -- If your motivation is to improve the building geometry, then it is preferred that you improve existing buildings rather than deleting the old ones (and with them any credit due to those who mapped the buildings in a HOT project four years ago). |
146515808 | over 1 year ago | I note that user Barroszt has reverted my revert of their edits. I trust that they will now already have repaired all the quality problems that they have caused. If, however, they have again introduced problems that they are not repairing, please let me know and I'll revert again & block the account to prevent further deterioration. I would prefer the Polish community to settle this among themselves but I will not allow one person to go against the wishes of everyone else. |
148623297 | over 1 year ago | Dear user Hemedy, when uploading data to OpenStreetMap, please specify a description of your work in the "changeset comment" field. You are currently marking each of your edits with "youthmapper" which is not useful; try something like "traced buildings" instead. Also, don't hit the upload button on every single building; add a handful or two before you upload. |
148582911 | over 1 year ago | Dear bouzinac, "Q697217" is not a sufficient description of your edit. Please consider making changeset comments that people who do not know about wikidata can understand. |
148439055 | over 1 year ago | Dear Yolanda84, please do not put the word "edificaciones" in the "name" field if you add buildings; it is enough to mark the object as a building, you don't have to "name" it too. I have removed the ~150 wrongly placed "name" tags of the buildings you added. |
148454828 | over 1 year ago | There needs to be a verifiable source that this refinery is called "Vecchia Raffineria" in Italian, otherwise your name:it is just a translation and needs to go. |
148455482 | over 1 year ago | Please provide a source for this pitch in Mauritania actually bearing the Italian name "campo sportivo". As you know, name tags are not indended for descriptions - the "leisure=pitch" already gives everyone the information they need. Do you really think it would be good to have name:xx tags for 200+ languages on this, all explaining that it is a pitch? |
148381503 | over 1 year ago | Hello Disnh, I had requested that you stop uploading masses of AI generated buildings in a short time, but now you've apparently added some artificial upload slow-down to your toolchain where instead of uploading 1000 buildings at once you first slowly upload the nodes of the buildings and - I assume - later upload the ways. Don't do that, because if in the hours between your node upload and your way upload someone detects these "untagged nodes" they might well be deleted by the time you try to upload the ways! If you are really tracing buildings manually, then simply upload your work once every 50 buildings or so. Don't wait until you have 1000 buildings and then upload them all at once. |
147622642 | over 1 year ago | "foot:use_sidepath" is ein ungewöhnliches Tag und ergibt auch nur dann Sinn, wenn überhaupt ein "sidepath" existiert, nicht bei osm.org/way/1252110341; "cycleway:both=no" ist Standard, das muss man nicht extra mappen, oder? osm.org/way/130998180 |
148106926 | over 1 year ago | Please don't add advertising copy in the "description" tag ("Professional with competitive prices"). OpenStreetMap is not an SEO tool. |
148297736 | over 1 year ago | Please try to keep the total area of your changeset small, and upload edits that belong to different countries (continents even!) in separate changesets. Thank you! |
148313026 | over 1 year ago | Dear harshjoshi-iitbhu, when you upload data to OSM you are prompted for a "changeset comment". This is for your fellow mappers to understand what you are doing. Putting a single dot in that field is not a sufficient changeset comment; we'd expect you to explain what you edited and why. For example, in this particular case, "aligned POI with road grid" or something like that. |
148302635 | over 1 year ago | Dear Abdulrahman kaku, when you upload data to OpenStreetMap, you are asked for a "changeset comment". This comment is a message you are sending to other human mappers in the area about your work. It should explain, in either English or another locally used language, what the edit is about. For example: "Tracing buildings". Other OSM volunteers are not necessarily involved with HOT so they will not be able to understand what "#hotosm-project-16183 #esc2023 #wnah #mushin2#humanitarian-mappers #Map4Climate " is supposed to mean. Hashtags in changeset comments are optional - but writing changeset comments that consist entirely of hashtags is disrespectful towards your fellow mappers. |
Usw. |
148114120 | over 1 year ago | Don't ;) in OSM we only map stuff that is still visible. If you have to resort to old maps and old photos then you should contribute this information to OpenHistoricalMap, not to OpenStreetMap. |
148130563 | over 1 year ago | This changeset deletes a lot of data (see https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=148130563) which is still clearly visible on aerial imagery. Because the mapper has not given a reason for this invasive edit, and because their user name is "jokejoker", I am reverting it. |
