153369410 | about 1 year ago | You have specified a copyrighted map as the source for the Italian name in this changeset. Please do not copy names from copyrighted material. |
153232364 | about 1 year ago | Dear MapMasterMike, please follow the automated editing guidelines for any algorithm-based editing like this one, and then point to the community discussion in your changeset so that people can be assured that this has been properly discussed. In the discussion, please explain clearly what algorithms you are planning to use to identify objects to be deleted or modified. And while not technically required, your credibility would certainly benefit from explaining how someone with two weeks of OSM experience is already applying technical fixes around the planet ;) |
152889949 | about 1 year ago | Adding data to OSM and then waiting "if we really get legal prosecution" is not the right approach. You must not take any information from a booking site, and you must delete all data that you have added from booking sites. |
153196669 | about 1 year ago | Dear olivejoh, in this changeset you have added over 1000 buildings. You claim to have used the source "PCN2012" but many of the buildings you have added are not visible on this imagery. It appears that you have imported the data from some other data source. Data imports must be discussed with the OSM community beforehand, and the source (and its license) must be clearly stated. I will revert this import. |
153156165 | about 1 year ago | Dear osmforeveryone, I have reverted this edit because you deleted a lot of buildings that matched the aerial imagery, and instead replaced them with little quadratic buildings that did NOT match the "MapBox Satellite" imagery you claimed to be using. Please (1) don't delete existing buildings to replace them with new traces; if the existing buildings don't match aerial imagery well, just correct them as needed. (2) don't draw "approximate" quadratic buildings when the building outline is obvious from aerial imagery. |
153124035 | about 1 year ago | Hallo Tieralarm, dieses Changeset hat fast 60 Buslininen verändert (und tlw. unterbrochen), weil sie alle dieses Stück Weg auf dem Parkplatz in Mank benutzt haben, das Du gelöscht hast ;) ich habe das mal wieder rückgängig gemacht, es war vermutlich keine Absicht? |
152392635 | about 1 year ago | I have now reverted all of Hendrikklaas's contributions in North America from the last couple of months because of complaints (deleting names from roads, mistakenly marking them as "paved" or changing them to driveways etc.); if the community would like to selectively re-instate these edits then I am willing to help but we'd need to find a consensus on how to proceed (ideally via the community forum). |
152977057 | about 1 year ago | Dear user RiMaDu, please try to make your buildings rectangular (there's a hotkey in the ID editor for that, and the people from whom you received your Mapathon training should have explained that to you). Also, please supply a human readable changeset comment; the OSM community doesn't know what CIBPH is and doesn't care that you are "Team Tricia" - we'd prefer to read something like "traced buildings near PLACENAME" or or so! You don't have to make an individual upload for every building, it is totally fine to draw 20 of them and upload in one go. |
152957816 | about 1 year ago | Dear Lena_OpenStreetMap, the "changeset comment" that you are asked to supply on upload is intended as a valuable piece of information for other human beings reviewing your contributions. It should be human-readable. A simple message like "mapped buildings in CITYNAME" is a million times more useful than all the "hash tags" - only a tiny minority of OSM contributors would even know what " #hotosm-project-17023 #tm-project #MissingMaps # Dominican republic #NLRC #redcross #rodekruis # IHE20240620 #sidsMapathon #AnteaAntwerp" is supposed to mean! |
146343790 | about 1 year ago | Any indication that this "cycleway" actually exists? |
152889949 | about 1 year ago | https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress/hotels/us/en/raymondville/rayvl/hoteldetail doesn't say how many rooms the hotel has yet your OSM entry does. Same for https://www.motel6.com/en/home/motels.il.gilman.4560.html which also doesn't show a room count yet your entry does. Same for https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotels-in-emory/best-western-plus-emory-at-lake-fork-inn-suites/propertyCode.44672.html I think that in truth you have copied this data wholesale from some booking site

152908090 | about 1 year ago | Yeah, if it is obvious that something else has been built over the railway then just delete it (or don't record in the first place). Only if visible traces remain should it be a railway=abandoned (think: we could invest a bag of cash to make this railway work again). If it's more a case of "we'd have to build a completely new railway" then don't map. |
152924985 | about 1 year ago | Dear kl2300031442, it is not necesssary to save every single building; you can draw 20 or 30 of them and then upload together with a meaningful changeset comment like "traced buildings in Ipurupalem" or so. |
152908090 | about 1 year ago | Hello TXLoganC, please do not map abandoned railways where the tracks have completely vanished under new buldings like e.g. osm.org/way/1293706556 - OSM is only there for stuff that you can still see, not for stuff that has vanished under layers of concrete. |
152889949 | about 1 year ago | Fedor Filimonov, you have not sufficiently explained the data source for these additions. In the changeset referenced above you admitted to copying the data from booking sites which would make it unsuitable for OSM. If you cannot show a legal source for these additions they will have to be removed again. |
152898588 | about 1 year ago | Dear user ellainevictoria, the "changeset comment" that you specify when uploading data is intended to tell other human mappers what you've been doing. "Added buildings" or something would be adequate, "#CIBPHMapathonJun19" is not since only a select circle of people will even understand what this is :( |
152882519 | about 1 year ago | Dear BC MAPANAN MITD OJT11, when uploading data to OSM, please specify a changeset comment as suggested by your editor, JOSM. For example, in this edit here you made changes to 10 parts of "Abano Street" but I have to analyse the history of the individual objects to see what you did. A good changeset comment would have been: "Fix maxspeed on Abano St" or so. See also: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
152826465 | about 1 year ago | lukhav, can you explain two things: (1) was this spam deletion your very first contribution to OSM or have you created this secondary account for that purpose alone? It is unusual for new users to delete thousands of things with JOSM. And (2) what method did you use to identify what you believe to be spam and how did the node pointed out by mavl above get selected? |
152814713 | about 1 year ago | Fedor, your logic is flawed, You cannot take data from booking sites just because the hotels have freely added this data to booking sites. Also, you keep adding "ourhotels.com" links even though you were asked not to. I am sorry but I have to remove your edits now. |
152814954 | about 1 year ago | Dear aleksielias, welcome to OSM! It is customary to add a short comment describing your edits when you upload - not just ".". See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments for details. Your future contributions would be even more welcome if you could add such a comment. |
