Changeset When Comment

You may want to look at the "Q" keyboard shortcut in the editor that helps you make square buildings.

Dear ClaireChivers, you have added new objects for "War Memorial Park" but they already existed before: osm.org/way/24472121 - please be careful not to add duplicates to OSM. Please also note our rules for "organised editing" - https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Organised_Editing_Guidelines - if "#TeamGen" is a group that receives instructions from someone then it would be required to document your team on the OSM wiki.

In this changeset you have removed/changed some names of the Persian/Arabian gulf. This is a major edit and not covered at all by your changeset comment "added details. Road improves, fixed some warnings, improved some buildings". I have therefore reverted the whole changeset. Please do not change any of the names of this waterbody without prior discussion.

It is possible that this waterbody is actually called "Arabian Gulf" in some languages. Please don't change any of its names without first seeking a consensus on the OSM forum. This edit has been reverted.

I am reverting this edit. The map is not "messed up" - someone has mapped driveways and sidewalks which can make the map look busy but it's certainly not unusual. Before you go about deleting things you don't like, please seek a consensus on the relevant forum on community.openstreetmap.org.

Dear upupagialla11, thank you for your contributions to OSM. You do not have to upload every single building; you can create a few and then upload them all at once. Please do not use a changeset comment of "#manara3h", nobody understands what that means. The changeset comment is intended to inform other members of the OSM community what you did (e.g. "tracing buildings in ....") or so.

Dear nibbiobruno02, you are adding a lot of very oddly shaped buildings to OSM. Consider using the "q" key to make them rectangular where the aerial imagery suggests they are.

Also, please use a changeset comment that describes your activity to other mappers (e.g. "added buildings in ..."). Don't write "#osmitaly-94", nobody knows what that is.

Hi there, in OSM we do not delete informal trails, instead we mark them approriately. Please see osm.wiki/Why_can%27t_I_delete_this_trail%3F for further information. DWG Ticket#2025032710000549

"meiner Meinung nach" ist keine ausreichende Begründung für einen Massen-Edit. Ich revertiere das jetzt erstmal; wenn die Community das im Forum gutheisst, kann man es ja wiederherstellen.

Dear pmzg, what you are doing here is what we call an "automated" or "mechanical" edit - you're editing with a program that you have written. Our guidelines require that such edits be discussed with the community before they are executed - i.e. you need to tell us what exactly you plan to edit and how, and need to give people a chance to raise concerns. See osm.wiki/Automated_Edits_code_of_conduct for details. Please could you show me where this discussion has taken place?

In this changeset you have added a lot of non-obvious detail about a railway line. Please make it a habit for future edits to name the source you got the information from in the changeset comment so that we can be sure we're not ingesting information from copyrighted sources.

Dear Tung130204, in this changeset you have deleted a number of buildings that clearly exist according to aerial imagery, and you have not given a good reason for this. The changeset comment field is a chance for you to explain why you made a certain edit; instead you just wrote "Tùng" which does not explain anything.

It also looks as if you might be adding the names of private individuals to buildings in OpenStreetMap. If this is the case, please stop - and delete the names you have already added. We do not record personal information in OSM.

Ich habe einen Kommentar des Users "rennwagen" versteckt, in dem er seinen Namen, Adresse und Telefonnummer angegeben hat.

Appears this was a deletion of a duplicate way? User "EditWatcher" has since renamed themselves to "(Anonymous)"...

Dear user La Guardia, whenever you add an international name to an object, please specify a source for that international name. (It is not ok to translate or transliterate names and add the results as name:xx; you need to know that the object in question is actually known under that name.)

Hi there Sledder, you have accidentally added an "operator" tag to thousands of nodes (instead of adding it to the ways only). I have removed that tag from the nodes again.
