"Gebäudeformen für einige Kirchen anhand Luftbild verbessert" o.ä.), anstatt wiederholt Deiner Unzufriedenheit über einen berechtigten Revert Luft zu machen. Im zitierten Revert wurde auf die Block-Message osm.org/user_blocks/2561 verwiesen, und mir scheint, dass einiges, was dort gesagt wurde, immer noch aktuell ist.

Dear jackthebest, please refrain from making wide-ranging edits like that without looking at the individual object you're changing. Also, please choose better changeset comments - "fix" is not helpful, it doesn't tell people what your intention is. For example I looked at another changeset where you deleted a guidepost with the comment "fix" and it took me a couple of minutes to find out that you deleted it because it was a duplicate - I was just about to write to you asking why you did it. Using better changeset comments will help people understand your intentions.

Dear archie, every mapper is fully responsible for the edits they make. If you use an editor that displays warnings, and if you choose to "fix" the data, it is 100% your responsibility. The "level crossings" like osm.org/node/1301324720 are wrong; please fix them. If some feature of the JOSM editor has led you to make these incorrect edits then you are free to file a bug report with JOSM. The JOSM warnings are certainly *not* any excuse to blindly modify OSM data without attention to detail. Asking someone who points out such a mistake to you to "contact the JOSM developers" is not the right reaction; if you continue acting like this you are risking that all your "JOSM error & warning fix" changesets get reverted.

Hallo VIPeR, Du hast in diesem Changeset einen Weg mit "bicycle=designated" und "foot=designated" eingezeichnet. Das bedeutet, dass vor Ort beide Nutzungsarten durch Schild erlaubt sind. Warst Du vor Ort und hast ein solches Schild gesehen? Ich frage, weil sich die Grundstückseigentümer beschwert haben und behaupten, dies sei ein privater Trampelpfad und kein ausgeschilderter Rad- und Fußweg.

Ich habe hier eine Changeset-Diskussion entfernt, die nichts mit den konkreten Edits zu tun hatte, sondern sich in allgemeinen Verdächtigungen und Anschuldigungen erschöpfte.

Ich habe aus diesem Thread ein paar Beleidigungen entfernt. Wenn ihr soweit seid, dass ihr jemand anderem öffentlich einen Aufenthalt in der Psychiatrie nahelegen möchtet, dann seid bitte selbst so schlau, die Tastatur aus der Hand zu legen. "Ich wurde provoziert" ist keine Ausrede. Künftige Entgleisungen dieser Art können mit einer vorübergehenden Sperre in OSM enden. Danke.

Why did you put "ele=Hi Logan" here? Also, your changeset comments are unintelligible. Please describe in human-readable form what the edit is about.

Dear rivermont, please refrain from making mechanical corrections/edits like you did here unless you have discussed them with the community first, explaining what algorithm/rule you intend to apply exactly. Edits like this run the danger of putting your "last edited" mark on objects that might be outright wrong, or are in need for other quality-improving edits. For example, osm.org/node/6177765656 claims to be in a street that does not exist in OSM, osm.org/node/6060251992 could have benefited from someone tracing the actual building the business is in, etc.; actually most of the POIs you have identified seem to stem from one and the same service provider adding businesses to OSM which could well deserve a closer look. By fixing "Payments" attention to other details, you're making these often problematic edits go unnoticed. See osm.wiki/What%27s_the_problem_with_mechanical_edits%3F for an in-depth explanation.

Hallo, ich habe in der Tat (wie auf der Mailingliste zuvor besprochen) "alle Edits der User addresshistory*org und andere von J.H. seit dem Changeset 69861349" revertiert. Ich habe dabei nicht unterschieden zwischen solchen, die wie Importe aussehen, und solchen, die vielleicht doch keine waren. Es wäre kein Problem für mich, diesen Revert wiederum teilweise rückgängig zu machen, wenn man mir sagt, nach welcher Regel ich Changesets erkennen kann, die nichts mit den problematischen Importen zu tun haben.

Dear Adamant1, a while ago I asked you and stevea to refrain from editing each other's data in order to calm down tensions between the two of you. In this changeset you have made changes to a state park and in the course of doing that, removed a tag added by stevea a while ago. I understand that it might not always be possible to look through the full history of every object but since parks is one topic that you specifically clashed on, I'd ask you to be more careful when editing parks. The OSM community in the US has not yet reached consensus on tagging state parks, and there are many equally valid (or equally wrong) ways of tagging them. Seeing you "improve tagging" by exchanging one possible way of tagging with another, and that on a park that just so happens to have been edited by stevea, comes dangerously close to the "trying to be clever" I cautioned against in osm.org/user_blocks/2990. Please do not test our patience.
