This query below example should make the need plain. There are two courses at Royal Aberdeen, Balgownie Links and Silverburn. Do you know where I can go to suggest discussion about a possible new tag? Perhaps there is a way to do this without a new tag, but I think the tag method is neatest. Ideas? http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/WEw

Please see Frederik Ramm's answer to this question. https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/75934/golf-course-how-to-differentiate-between-two-18-hole-courses-at-one-club
In essence where there are more than 2 courses at one club a distinguishing tag becomes necessary

the Den Burn mapping looks good enough to me ! :)
Overpass query above is significantly tidied up from the one on my diary post, becasue it shows culverts, tunnels & streams as I had initially intended, with different colours and tags for various section types.

Hi,
I don't know. It's a private property so I can't go in to have a look. Becasue of Covid I have not been able to go up there and have a look at the small boundary wall on the street.
It's a Georgian house, one of only a few left in Aberdeen. At one time it was in the country side, and was the big house of an estate!
Thanks for the hint; I have had a look now and see there both inscription and plaque tags available.

Very nice work on Den Burn
I did'nt think to use the OS Maps; I will try to remember that.
Here is a nice query I created https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/VXi

That's a fair point.
My thinking is to make the map more interesting but, yes, that is not the name of the house, therefore I have deleted the "name" tag and placed the information in a "note" tag.
Is there a tag I can use that will display important historical information on the map?

Hi Mike,
You know that. But this project is not necessarily about what you know.
Efforts here are as part of a community empowerment project. Many people who live locally and walk or drive past that park every day, don't even know it's name widely, as it is not really listed much anywhere. So it's actually quite important to tag and name things so it's obvious what they are. We live locally and it will benefit those who live here. Unless the name pops up of itself so a local can easily see whats there I will pop the name back.
Unless openness as an obstruction this has to be a good idea for "open" street map. Lets not hide our data, right?

Yes I will.
I am always wary about joining nodes of different type.

Just checked with an address I know in Clochandighter Drive. The postcode for that address is AB12 4SP

I remember from some reading I did, a long time ago, that there are about 18 addresses per postcode. Clochandichter Drive has about 21 houses. I do not know why this is.

Hi Robert
I drove down the road producing a GPS trace and took photos of the site signs. I am fairly certain the address in full came off a site sign. It was over a year ago. Of course the site sign may not have been correct. Interestingly if you google the business name it produces the same post code. I agree that it is unlikely that it would have the same postcode as Clochandichter Drive.
