Hi,
Apologies, I'll fix that this afternoon.

Regarding the route location, I'll check the information we have and, providing its OSM compatible, amend if needed.

Cheers,
Andy

That's a good point, the stile suggests there are access permissions - at least for walkers. I believe the access land border falls slightly to the north of the path, but I'll double-check. I'll also speak to the ranger about this. For now, I've reverted the highway tag and added a note, I'll update this again once we're clear about what exists on the ground and the associated access.

Thanks for your kind words about our work, we think recording our paths in this way has great potential.

Cheers, Andy

Hi, thanks for the comment.
The local ranger advised there's no distinguishable path on the ground and the route has no legal or permissive access rights. I think the foot/bicycle/horse tags also need updating.
Before I update them, is there a more appropriate tag combination to describe this scenario? Perhaps retaining the original highway tag and using other descriptors (surface, tracktype etc.)?
Brief side note, we're proposing to use OpenStreetMap to map paths on National Trust managed land. More info on our proposed approach is here, we'd appreciate any feedback you might have: osm.wiki/Organised_Editing/Activities/National_Trust_Paths.
Cheers,
Andy
