That is exactly why I think it is valid. If somebody agreed to have his/her name in a phone book, then this information is public and can be added to OSM.

If the doctor has his/her full name (and address) in the local phone book, then this information is public anyway. Also, IMHO it should be in the interest of the doctor to have this information available for the general public. Otherwise, how does he/she get his/her clients?

What is the added value for this? I can not really see any.

As nobody answered I found it out myself after some while: It is space + drag. But it still does explain why the background moves from time to time from the left to right and back.

And one more thing: shift-drag does not work in Potlatch. At least I do not know how.

Sorry I forgot something: But why does the GeoEye images move? Are they not fixed?

One example (not from Haiti) is this one:
osm.org/?lat=45.828588&lon=8.670336&zoom=18

Where it says "Enes". This was tagged as a building many days ago and the building does not get rendered.

Another example is the building here:
osm.org/?lat=45.8056698739529&lon=8.86397927999496&zoom=17

On high (detailed) zoom levels the Mapnik is surely not updated every 2-5 minutes.

Es kommt wie immer sehr darauf an. Eine Hitler-Straße oder Gotenhafen für Gdynia geht natürlich nicht. Die Namen Breslau, Krakau oder Danzig hingegen sehr wohl. Wir sollten uns da ein bisschen an der Wikipedia orientieren und je nach dem entscheiden, ob man die Orte / Straßen mit name:DE oder old_name taggen. Grüße!
