Changeset When Comment

This looks nice, but definitly either remove the old route or remove the overlapping sections and mark the remaining section as `abbandoned:highway=path`. In the future I'd also recommend smoothing out GPS traces a little more. Much of the small-scale wobbling about on a GPS track is actually from interference of the GPS signal. Exactly tracing the GPS path suggests more precision than is actually there, and is a lot of work too.

Ohh, I just noticed the source tag on your changeset. Geobase is wrong here, I'm going to revert the changeset.

I don't think these road names are correct. More specifically, I'm pretty sure these roads here don't have any names.

Are you sure the max speed on osm.org/way/458143273 is 20?

48149404 about 8 years ago

That what I suspected. Do you know where the trail ends?

48149404 about 8 years ago

Hi, did you survey the whole centenial trail? Should I update the fixme and source tags?

I was previously unable to find the trailhead on quadling road, is the access fairly straightforward?

Sweet, thanks for fixing it.

Hi,

Your change on Hvannadalshnúkur doesn't make sense to me. Is there an information board at the summit of the mountain? If so, I think it should be a separate node (see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element)

Hi, I don't always do this myself, because I'm lazy, but when making a large change to an object like the industrial, it's good to update the source tag.

Is "Buttefly World" a typo (i.e. is it missing an "r"?)

45812241 over 8 years ago

Thanks for pointing that out! I was using the name to try and differentiate relations, but I forgot to remove it before I saved :(

It's fixed now.

Hi BC Hiker,

You probably didn't alter this in this changeset, but I figure you might know something about it. The section of the TCT along the Fraser River between Gladwin Road and the the Mission Bridge is slightly different on OSM than the official sources (http://www.trailsbc.ca/tct/fraser-valley/abbotsford and https://thegreattrail.ca/explore-the-map/). In OSM it stays by the river and in the official sources it follows the Matsqui Trail "track". Do you have any idea if the official sources are correct or not?

Note: the original subdivisions are about 2 km northwest.

44011687 over 8 years ago

My best guess is that there was some accidental copy-pasting of the P.N. Roa subdivision and Oro Habitat with JOSM. Can we revert it?

Hi Frannya, welcome to openstreetmap. I think you're change to East Gibson Street in front of the high school might not be right. The map here is a lot more than just a visual map and by changing to a "primary road" (a medium sized highway) it will confuse navigation apps like car GPS units.

Estrada da Serrada got a big kink it it as a result of this changeset (I think). It's an easy fix and I'll have it done shortly, but just be careful when using JOSM, it has some surprising behaviors.

43304757 over 8 years ago

The safest way to do it is to probably just tag the objects as you make them, using the "Building Presets" preset would make this a little easier.

If that's too much work, doing a search (in the Edit menu) for "type:way -*=*" would probably work okay.

43304757 over 8 years ago

I'd just like to point out that you added a whole pile of building & address tags to the nodes, roads, and waterways in this area. Be careful when editing large numbers of elements all at once it with JSOM :)

What's up with the tags at the base of the climbs? This looks like it's clearly outdoors.

Can you double check osm.org/way/445849285 ? It's doesn't make sense, what does "oneway=-1" mean?
