Hi JikJola,

Adding the Okuryangava suburb is very valuable. However, it would be great if you could close this multipolygon if you have local knowledge of the area.

Thanks and happy mapping!

Best,
Aleksandar

Thank you for your response and your efforts, we can clearly see that you want to adjust boundaries to a current condition. We already fixed issues with broken boundaries.
Probably the best tool when working with dounbaries would be JOSM software (https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Download), where you can clearly see on a larger scale if the boundary is broken. Here you can find helpful link for editing relations (osm.wiki/Relation)
If you have any further questions feel free to ask for help.
Best regards

Dear Juochnyierbong,
Thank you for your recent contributions to the Unity region in OpenStreetMap. We've noticed that you've been adjusting the boundaries, particularly around the Ruweng Administrative Area, Pariang, Rubkona, and Guit. Your dedication to improving the map is greatly appreciated. However, we observed that some issues with the boundaries and relations have arisen following your changes. Specifically, it seems that a few relations remain broken. Old boundaries looked correct so maybe they shouldn't be changed because these issues might impact on the overall integrity of the map data.
Affected boundaries are:
Ruweng Administrative Area: osm.org/relation/13550743
Pariang: osm.org/relation/13530352
Rubkona: osm.org/relation/13530295
Guit: osm.org/relation/13530261
Unity: osm.org/relation/2190519
We wanted to check if you've encountered any challenges while working on these edits? Open Street Map's relation structures can be complex, and it’s easy to overlook how changes to one element might affect others. If you're experiencing any difficulties or have any questions about how relations function within OSM, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We would be more than happy to assist in resolving any issues or provide guidance where needed. Your continued contributions are invaluable to the community and ensuring that all elements work seamlessly together is crucial for maintaining the quality of our shared map.
Thank you

Hi HikeAndMap!
Thank you for reaching out. We are using the Bing as imagery to verify edits from Map builder users and this one apparently doesn't have much experience adding water bodies. So the user draws a waterbody aligned to the water level not to the whole water reservoir as it should.
You are always welcome to edit/change edits by yourself especially having local knowledge.
Thank you for helping out.
Best regards

Hi richlv,

Thank you for the invitation to the conference and the local community! I will ask about the possibility to attend the conference and we will explore how we can work closely with the local community (in Latvia and in general).

We improved our validation software so that our editorial team now has the country being shown when judging changesets, so we can catch this early. We will also try to adjust the offset as needed for Latvia. I also acknowledge that we might not be 100% successful as there are a lot of changes to check, but if it happens again, I want to you know that those could only be honest mistakes. Please let us know if you notice anything else (or this thing again), so we can improve!
As a long-term solution, we will ping a satellite team to give a better offset for Latvia.

Best regards

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

We apologize for any misunderstandings or oversights and are committed to making sure our processes adhere to local guidelines. As we strive to validate map edits worldwide, we sometimes use Bing aerial imagery when local imagery is not available or is of poor quality.

However, we understand the importance of using high-quality local imagery, and we are working to improve our logic to use correct imagery depending on the region.

If you notice any further discrepancies or have additional feedback, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Thank you again for your attention to this matter.

Hi Eino81!
Thanks for taking an interest in this road.
Unfortunately, I don't have any ground truth on whether or not there is a gate at the beginning of the street. If anyone else has information about it, please feel free to add it to the map.
Thanks again for your help in improving OpenStreetMap!

Hi Krako73,
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I apologize for the mistake I made in uploading the boundary as a waterway. I understand the differences between these two, and I appreciate you restoring it to its correct classification.
Thank you again for your help and understanding.
Best regards,
