Broadcast Engineer currently specialising in television projects based in West Africa. Contributed to the Nigerian, Bangladesh, Yemen, French, Spanish, South African and Swiss map. My first traces date back to 2003 when a colleague gave me an original Garmin Etrex as a leaving gift, as I set forth to volunteer for VSO in Nigeria.

I worked out how to get traces out of the Garmin ( credit to EasyGPS ) and exported GPX via a merkator translation into CSV and dropped data into AutoCad ( weird but worked ).

Part of the Nigerian map is still using this original data which I hope to expand on soon.

Looking forward to BING imagery - especially for Africa - so much to do there - especially Abuja - the capital of the most populous African nation - watch this space - Kaduna was done in two weeks!
