Hhhmmm, would have been nice if my own street was listed in OSM, but it's not. So I'm off to figure out how to get it added. Imagine it will need be be a combo of my GPS tracing my street up to the nearest know streets. Then an import of some sort and then finally tracig over it to draw the streets in place.

You got it!

I found these videos by Steve:

Very helpful when I was starting out.

JOSM is my preferred editor, and if you mess something up, you can just restart JOSM without uploading the changes, so I found it very "newbie friendly". It's "just" a java app and runs perfectly on linux too.

Have fun.

The wiki beginners' guide might help too. osm.wiki/Beginners%27_Guide
