I don't remember if the LPI topo was available in JOSM then either.
We are spoiled with the easy ability to switch from the LPI topo to LPI sat images (which are excellent quality)

Not sure what I was doing there - 2 "roads" are definitely cliff lines per the LPI topo and LPI sat images.

I'll remove them shortly and mop up some nearby track naming too...

Ah I see what happened - I was mopping up KeepRight's reported doubled places - in this case an area tagged as the school and a node within tagged as the school. So I took the non-conflicting tags from the node and applied them to the area, then deleted the node: see osm.org/node/3450558020/history
I assumed the node data was correct but didn't verify

Hmm - that specific edit is not one I would typically have made. In fact I'm certain adding that tag is not one I have ever made so I'm puzzled...

I drove through there a few months ago and there was no blockage, and it seems strange that a block would stop pedestrian and bicycle traffic as well
