Intentional removal. (Remoção intencional)

Publicado por BladeTC o 5 de Decembro de 2011 en English.

How should I do if someone intentionally delete (bad joke or something) any street or point that I marked on the map before?
I have not found anything like it, but I just want to prevent and know what to do.

(Como devo proceder se alguém deletar por mal gosto, brincadeira ou para me sacanear, deletar alguma rua ou ponto que eu já tinha marcado antes?)

There's some guidelines here: osm.wiki/Vandalism
Or this question: http://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/216/what-should-i-do-about-vandalism

The first thing to do would be to contact the user who changed/deleted it. It might just be a accident, or they might not realise they actually editing the map.
Also worth discussing it on the local mailing list or forum, to see what other mappers think.

The incorrect edits can be reverted if necessary.

If they continue to vandalise the map, then you can contact the data working group. The data working group can ban the user or revert all of their edits.

In addition to the potential reasons behind the edits noted above is that you and the editor might be working from different data and therefore each believe they are right. That requires communication to resolve. Don't assume vandalism as the default.
