OpenStreetMap
I am in my room at Hem 18B, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, DAKAO ward, District 1, HCMC, Vietnam.
My house address is 18E1 NTMK street, DAKAO, Dist. 1, HCMC, VN.
I am using a Nokia E72 smartphone with Google.maps to navigate the streets and provinces of Vietnam. It works very well. I recently navigated from Phan Thiet to Saigon on my motorbike.
It took 4 hours, as there was lots of road work to upgrade the highway making it wider and safer.
I am still learning how to enter the coordinates for the mapping. I just read from my phone using google.maps.

I have been here for 5 years. Vietnam is a beautiful country, with many places to explore, foods to try, and sights to photograph. The people are so friendly, and fun to meet.

If you want to work more efficient you should consider working with trekbuddy (freeware!). I do most of my work with it on a BlackBerry. Have a look at http://www.trekbuddy.net/releases/0.9.99/index.html. You can use it with offline maps and store your gps-track in the phone.

You should have a look at http://www.trekbuddy.net/releases/0.9.99/index.html. Trekbuddy is a free tool to use osm-maps offline and store your gps-tracks in the phone memory. This may bring some more efficiency to your work :)

Maybe the server should use a hash of the post and prevent duplicates by looking at previous posts by the user in the same thread.

Welcome! Be careful how you use that Google Maps app. I assume you mean you are taking the coordinates from your phone's GPS, as displayed in the app, rather than from the Google map. Don't forget, you shouldn't take data from Google Maps to enter into OSM, as this breaches Google's copyright and licence terms (and OSM tries to be whiter than white in this regard).

Ok, so what is the format for coordinates data. Longitude and latitude?
Isn't standard coordinates in 10 deg, 9", North 106 degrees, 41' 58" East?

There are some internet maps that display coordinates. One of them can be found on www.geofabrik.de --> tools --> Map
(you can quickly zoom in that map (like in any other map based on OpenLayers) by holding shift key and drag a box with left mouse button)

Latitude and longitude are often expressed like this:
52.63725,-2.92876
Where negative numbers mean South for latitude and West for longitude.
To my knowledge you cannot use the standard OSM editors to simply enter latitude and longitude and say "put a map feature at these coordinates". You can search for latitude,longitude pairs (or place names) on the OSM home page, and then click edit to use the Potlatch editor to edit. However, before you do any of that, I would recommend reading the Beginner's Guide on the wiki:
