welcome, and thanks for adding this information to the map Carl. i see you added the LMN to the way even though it was already on the node, this duplication is not necessary. since the node is older and since the LMN only occupies the front part of the building, I'm going to remove it from the way but keep it on the node, to avoid redundancy

Thanks for contributing to the map! I see you are tracing outlines of buildings that are missing from the map--that's great. Please consider "squaring" the buildings that have right angles. I see you are using iD, the default map editor on the website. You can select a building and press the "Q" key and it will square any corners that are very close. This will help us ensure high quality map data.

Thanks for adding to the local map. Please remember that building=* tags represent where the building connects with the ground. So, St Stephens has a peaked roof, but the building itself is a rectangle, so you can estimate where the base is.

Hello, thank you for contributing to OSM. Please don't name a building "To be determined", this is not what the "name" field is for. If you know the name of the restaurant, you can use that, otherwise remove it and add it when you do know.

Hello, and welcome to the OSM project! I noticed you have deleted two trails and the name of a field with the reason of "unauthorized". If a trail exists it is fair game to be put into OSM; consider adding "access" tags to something that is private or has limited access.

I see you are changing operator tags from CATA to Capital Area Transit Authority; something that I've noticed around here is in Lansing the tags are CATA and in East Lansing they are fully spelled out. It might be worth standardizing.

Thanks for contributing to OSM! When you are adding building footprints, consider squaring them. I noticed when passing through that this building is a rectangle but was not drawn as such. I see you are using iD (the default editor), you can choose a shape and press Q to orthogonalize it quickly.

welcome to the openstreetmap project--i noticed you added a name to this building ("residential building"). the *function* of this building is residential, so that come in the building=* tag (which you've correctly tagged as building=house, good work). name=* would be used if that location is named. for example, historical buildings like lansing's hollister building or the farnum building

Hello, I noticed you moved all of the tags from the hotel node to the way (the building shape), but you left the node. Only one is necessary; leaving both can cause confusion. I am going to merge the two, in order to preserve the history of the node.

I noticed you are using iD; if it necessary for you to perform this merge in the future, there is a shortcut: select both objects (way and node), right click, and choose the large plus icon (currently the shortcut is C).

Hello and welcome to OpenStreetMap--I notice you only map golf courses, so I suspect this changeset is to empower you and others to play a Golf Simulator which uses OSM data. Unfortunately, this golf course was demolished several years ago and OSM policy is to map what's "truth on the ground". You put a lot of work into this, but we should not add features that are not currently present. This might be a good addition to OpenHistoricalMap.

Hello MacGolf09! Welcome to OpenStreetMap. I've noticed you've been making a lot of changes recently to golf courses (probably for the game Golf Simulator). I've noticed you have been deleting many features, and re-making some of them. Instead of deleting and remaking, please consider editing the feature to make it more accurate while preserving the history of the object. For example, the two golf=tee that you deleted and re-made could have been moved. The golf=rough that you deleted could be retagged to golf=fairway. Thanks for helping maintain open geographical data!
