Thanks to the new imagery (and the plugin of the same name) the western suburbs of Mashhad (second largest city in Iran) are currently being traced and fine-polished. Main roads were traced with GPS earlier and were now used to correctly align the satelitte imagery that holds an offset of some 15 metres.

Next up: More landuses around Mashhad. Yay!

Knapp zwei Tage im "Haus der Stille" in Weitenhagen boten Gelegenheit, die nahen Wälder mit dem Mountainbike zu erfahren. Durch mehrere Fahrten nach Greifswald entstanden zudem mehrfach Tracks der Zufahrtswege, denen ich darauf aufbauend weitere Details hinzufügen konnte. Und wieder einmal wurde der Beweis angetreten, dass jeder noch so kleine Ort immer auch irgendwo einen versteckten Fußweg hat, den es zu finden und zu mappen galt :)

Just roughly traced the vast forests of Mazandaran and Golestan provinces in northern Iran. They grow on the northern slopes of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alborz because of the high precipitation of humid air coming from the caspian sea in that area. Although these landuse polygons are utterly rough they help giving a better picture of the situation on the ground in the northern part of Iran when in map overview.

Just unified some tagging for restaurants serving seafood. Values such as "Sea food", "sea_food" or "Seafood" were changed to "seafood". Now let's just get seafood shops getting voted on and this construction site should be fixed: osm.wiki/Proposed_features/seafood_shop
