The best online map of Turku that I'd seen before OSM is at http://opaskartta.turku.fi/ This has existed for at least 10 years, but you have to know how to find it :-) I think it's the same map as found on bus stops. The OSM map of Turku is, in places, more detailed and accurate than this map and it zooms in closer, but it's not yet completed. Not yet... :-)

I had the same problem. I couldn't figure out how to 'Save'. It turned out that Potlatch saves automatically but the (still editing) stays for a while. It probably works by timing out since there's no explicit save operation. Lately the Mapnik layer has not been updating anything I've done, but Osmarender is, so I know things are working.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I was confused between Potlatch and the actual website uploader which is obviously not the same thing at all.

Thanks, Richard. I was being lazy. I gave up when I was unable to import the waypoints file directly. I then read that Potlatch can use waypoints if you convert them to tracks first -- and I thought I would have to edit the XML manually! A bit more reading and I find out about MWaypoint.exe.
