Good afternoon, could you please look at this note osm.org/note/182455 , which is about one of your edits?
thanks

Grazie

Hi there, I've noticed you've been adding quite a good amount of highway=give_way and highway=stop, please make sure you also add the direction=forward/backward tag, as suggested by the wiki
osm.wiki/Tag:highway=give way

Thanks!

yeah, exactly. Best practice usually implies moving a node and placing to a more accurate location; deleting the old one and creating a new one sometimes is cause of data loss, therefore it's discouraged.
I've had a look at the old water point location and also at the new one. Distance between the two of them is about 3 to 4 meters, not much, at all.
Anyway, thanks for supporting OSM project!
cheers

Hi, can you please confirm drinking water node removed here osm.org/changeset/71531238 is actually working?
Did you survey the area 22 days go?
thanks

71531238 about 6 years ago

Hi there, drinking water node you deleted was just added 22 days ago; are you sure this one doesn't exist?
what's the reason for your deletion?
thanks

Thanks for your reply, yes the chance does actually affect the render.
I'm going to restore the aerialway=station tag right now.
Thanks!

Hi again, thank you for your reply.
Well, we all make mistakes, that's not a big deal, this one was a quick fix luckily.
Relations are quite challenging at first, but they should definitely not be intimidating to you.
I'd suggest to practice on small scale multi-polygon relations, just like this one osm.org/relation/3958295 and once you get the hang of it you'll be fine editing the big ones as well.
Here you can find some examples osm.wiki/Multipolygon_Examples

Thanks again!
cheers

I suspect you tried tagging this small area osm.org/way/436000235 as a meadow, but actually selected the whole relation instead.
I've then added the landuse=meadow tag to that small area, hope it's correct, please confirm.
Thanks again!

71183042 about 6 years ago

Good afternoon Udo!
I guess you've mistakenly replaced a correct landuse=forest with landuse=meadow for this whole relation ( osm.org/relation/1329800 ), which means this whole area is now being rendered on our map as a meadow, while it's actually a proper forest.
This is what the landuse=meadow tag means osm.wiki/Tag:landuse=meadow

I do know the area pretty well and I can guarantee it's a proper forest, so I'm going to restore that.
Should you have any questions, please write here.
Thanks!

grazie

Good morning ggorzki. As per this discussion https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-it/2019-June/066787.html (sorry, full Italian language there) and osm.wiki/Piste_Maps#Ski_lifts we reckoned aerialway=station is actually something more accurate than a generic aerialway=yes, therefore I'd like to restore that "station" value instead of "yes". Also, if you look at this area osm.org/#map=16/46.5280/10.0993 you'll see the northern lift has the two stations still tagged as aerialway=station, and they are showing up on the map as blue dots, while the other lift has the arrival and departure stations tagged as aerialway=yes, which are not showing up on the map.
About public_transport=station tag instead, I'm a bit confused as the relative wiki page doesn't clearly state when to use and when not to.
I do hope you'll agree with me to restore the previous station tag value then.
If you like I could do it.
Thank you

Hi ggorzki, thank you very much for your reply. I'll try sort this out with the OSM community via OSM help forum or talk-it mailing list.
Will get back to you as soon as I'll understand what's the best practice for this kind of objects
Thanks!
