Good spot! That's never happenend to me before, must be an autocorrect thing. I'll keep an eye out, thanks.

Sorry, the gap is my mistake. Thanks for notifying me. I thought NCN1 & 66 were listed identically along this section.

Both NCN routes go via Chantry Lane and Warter Road (which is weird as not the shortest route, most people seem to use the shortcut).

The railway line is a bit of a quagmire during the winter whilst the roads along here are so quiet (often more cyclists than cars on a sunny day!).

No worries. I couldn't see any settings to change. But its a great app that has sentmy contributions through the roof as its so easy :)

I tend to use streetcomplete for most of my surveying (then do the big things when I get back) as it really nicely flags things to fix. It tends to aggregate changes into one changeset per type of amendment. I'll look into the settings to see if it can stop grouping, might be possible?

No, unfortunately that's a typo on my part. Good spot.

No, but you can buy panniers, lights, maps, locks etc etc etc. It was marked as a travel agency before which seemed inappropriate also. Really its just their office with a small map and cycling bits shop in the doorway.

That would be good. I'm pretty confident its about right but im not quite sure which end of the building it was. Thanks

When did you pass? It looked pretty new to me - they'd put it in the end of the arts village by the main road but perhaps sharing the end building. It is also listed in the food hygiene opendata: http://ratings.food.gov.uk/business/en-GB/735085/The-Co-operative-Group-Limited-The-Wharfage

Again, thanks for sorting this.

Also there is a nationwide marked here:
osm.org/node/315667065
I have no idea if this remains.

So the unit next to the co-op is the old derbyshire branch. Namesigns changed to Nationwide in 2014.

This is the outlet that I saw had closed.

They were also reported as considering opening a new Nationwide branch on the corner of East/Albion Streets. They did do this - that's what I added to OSM two months ago but which has now been marked as closed.

Obviously if you've seen that it is closed more recently than I was there, then your knowledge betters mine.

31636012 about 10 years ago

I was there two months ago (the day before the changeset of mine).

The two units between Albion Street and The Co-operative Bank were separate at that time. The end one was open as a Nationwide and had two cash machines (many city centre banks do). The branch also looked quite new (they've been refurbishing branches as of late). The other unit looked closed and had a sign explaining that that unit had closed but an alternative Nationwide was close by - next door.

The Nationwide did merge with the Derbyshire building society back around 2009 and so had two branches - which might well have been these two units next door to each other - one of which was the old 'Derbyshire' branch and one which has always been a Nationwide.

I'd really doubt that they would close all of their city centre outlets. Ideally this wants a survey to check - but I'd guess that the end unit is still there.

I'm currently in the process of splitting these into increasingly smaller and more detailed blocks. I've switched to josm so I don't have to put any more 'unfinished' big blocks onto the live map. I should really have done that to start with.

The Midlands Co-op changed its name late last year to "Central England", but its the same company.

28038474 over 10 years ago

Not recently, but then I hadn't expected them to change that often, but as there is some doubt over their accuracy then I have removed them.

They write it on the wall of the store and I think its on the website as well (I would assume that these match up). I'm unsure of the licence restrictions for this kind of data...

I'm only updating the name from various "co-op, "Co-op", "X Village Co-op store" etc to the "The Co-operative Food" that you actually see on the ground across all of the stores and adding in a few that I have seen. I have been checking for tags but this one or two must have slipped through.

I was just updating the name and selected the co-op from the list of areas - I hadn't appreciated that that automatically assumed a supermarket. Change rectified shortly.
