OpenMapSurfer and the city of Split

Recently I discovered the OpenMapSurfer site and its “OSM Roads” base layer, which shows OSM data in a bit different way, and after I took the look of the old and historical center of my town with it, I thought that this will be interesting for any foreign visitor(s) of my city. I added some of the POIs there, but the streets, buildings, and some of the POIs were made by my fellow mapper idelac.

Neat - finally a world map with 3d buildings. Guess I’ll have to remap my entire area now to add building heights :-)

Does anyone know how often the map is updated?

Huh? I didn’t know that it displays a map with 3D buildings, I was referring to the way it displays POIs. 3D buildings are not available in my city and so I couldn’t see it, but I can see it now on the example of Trieste. Thanks for enlightening me!

On the Info page it says that the update interval is 2 hours, but I’m not sure about that, for it took him a couple of days to display the POIs I’ve made in my city.

Yes, it really does. Thanks for the tip! :)
