Overview

You might be aware of the mapping overhaul wherein certain features are fixed in almost real-time, especially on the changes that the governmental agencies have executed the plan on bicycle lanes (regardless of separation), city bus routes, MRTs, highways where the changeset 99876939 and its follow-up changesets prove the separation of the bicycle lane from the rest of the highway by any available barriers (i.e. bollards, jersey barrier or block, rope), coupled with the MRT-7 construction updates.

Separating the route relation by direction

Upon adoption to most City Buses, like the one in City Bus E: EDSA Carousel (direction)^[1], it is hereby adopted on AH26, select Philippine National Highway routes (including the Metro Manila Radial Road system), and local/regional/national Bicycle Lane routes for easier identification and routing effectiveness, thus preventing the server overload. Likewise, highway routes are needed to be separated to deter ‘duplicated way on relation’ warning on certain highways without median (traffic island or center island) while on mapping validation.

Updates on Buses, Jeepneys

Most City Buses are now numbered as opposed to the former lengthy A-B (destination-based) routing wherein the Rationalized Bus Route System has been planned so long that most Provincial Commuter P2P Bus operators are still resisting changes to the routing, might as well the confusion to all commuters, mappers as well on whether the enforcement will reflect on the reality. Likewise, the effect of the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine led to the immediate shut-down of all transportation routes, thus the planned Route Rationalization got into reality upon gradual resumption of the highest mode of transportation, with the bus as the highest priority. The initial MRT-3 augmented buses, in turn, got converted to City Bus E as the present-day #EDSACarousel with the dedicated busway corridor for possible conversion to the modern Bus Rapid Transit route. City Buses E, 9, 17, 5, 28 are the initial route operation at the start of the NCR General Community Quarantine for the first 2 days, and upon mapping and validation of most transportation modes (bicycles, buses, jeepneys), rendering got possible on Cycle Map, Transport Map, and OPNVKarte.
