Hello,

Is there some way to change the terrain encoding on the map? While editing i seem to be able to only add roads.

Cheers,

Your question isn't very clear.

Height data is only stored in OSM for peak and a few other specific features.

The cycle map takes its height data from another dataset called SRTM, which you can't modify.

Hello smsm1,

OK, sorry for being unclear. I suppose I used the wrong word here, what I meant is that I see in the OSM map that a particular area enclosed by roads is painted gray, suggesting buildings, while in fact that area is a little park.

So what I was looking for is a way to alter that area to green, and maybe even drawin in the little pond that is there.

Cheers,

You should use some landuse areas. An area is a way which has the start and end nodes the same, and has the appropriate tags. For example landuse=grass, leisure=park, or landuse=residentual.

Hope that helps.
