I would revert back to "Testa Nera" as indicated in the Carta Tecnica Regione VDA (https://mappe.regione.vda.it/pub/geonavitg/geodownload.asp?carta=CTRR). The word "Cresta" is more suitable for a ridge, while "Testa" refers to peak.

I dati si trovano sul sito regione VDA. Sono in licenza CC0 quindi compatibili con OSM. I dati piu utili sono la carta tecnica e il modello altimetrico.

Nei mesi scorsi durante il lockdown ho deciso di spendere un po di tempo per scaricare i dati e manipolarli appropriatamente per poterli usare per disegnare le mappe con JOSM o l'editor online id OSM. Mi sto facendo un sito, www.vdamap.com per visualizzare i dati e renderli più accessibili.

Puoi utilizzare I layer della carta tecnica regionale impostando questo tms in josm

http://www.vdamaps.com/tilesets/CTRR_010/{zoom}/{x}/{-y}.png

per la carta 1:10000, e

tms:http://www.vdamaps.com/tilesets/hillshade/{zoom}/{x}/{-y}.png

per il modello altimetrico, che ha una risoluzione a 2 metri con bassissima distorsione. Nota il segno meno per la componente y.

Questi dati sono l'ideale per localizzare correttamente punte, colli e a altre caratteristiche morfologiche del terreno che possono essere ambigue dall'ortofotocarta, soprattutto quando è molto distorta. Nei mesi scorsi mi sono datto tutto il contorno della Valle d'Aosta aggiungendo e correggendo punte e colli!!

Fammi sapere se hai bisogno di una mano con il setup, e se hai consigli per il sito!

Si tratta di una svista, grazie di averla notata e corretta.

Di solito mi baso sulla carta tecnica regione VDA, che è molto più precisa delle ortofotocarte disponibili (e ha una licenza compatibile con OSM). Qui mi ero proprio sbagliato, devo aver trascinato per sbaglio quel nodo.

yes, I just very recently realised (yesterday) that the tag `sources` does not exists. I thought it was used when multiple sources are used.

I was gonna fix many instances using osmose when I found some time.

I am not sure adding a further boundary is a good approach to address the fact that this is a disputed area. I think it creates a bit of confusion in the map, rather than resolving the issue.

Do you think having one boundary "somewhere in the middle" would be a better idea? Or, is there a tag we can use for one of the boundaries, e.g. "boundary_disputed" or something like this?
