OK I removed the name and will check for road signs next time I pass by the area.

When I have a chance I'll try from the other end of the road and find out how far I can drive it...

I tried to drive that road a few weeks ago and I found the block... perhaps as a consequence of a storm, the road is impassable further down the road? The sign said clearly that there is no access beyond that point, including for pedestrians. There were concrete blocks, so I assumed that this block is (semi-)permanent.

I'll try to take a photo next time I drive there. Is this the right forum to post the photo? how? If not I'll upload it somewhere and post a link.
