I see your logic but I would prefer to keep these as two separate nodes to reflect the situation.

These are two separate plaques. One is in English, the other in Japanese that are about 3 meters apart separated by a building entrance.

Hi lokejul, When I'm about noting things I use OSMand on my phone. I often will upload a location as "monastery" to place it. Then when I get home I change it. I was just sitting down to make my recent changes to the appropriate category.

The plaque and rock exists, at least at the time I was doing a site visit. Due to the bushes it is hard to see from the road, but from the sidewalk it very visible and stands 3 feet high.

It is clearly a memorial and not a shrine and while it was probably erected by the Mennonite community it is on public land and the wording on the monument is inclusive of all people who died at these locations. So I'm going to leave it.
