Massive damage was caused by recent rain on the path. The path to Errigal is currently closed to asses the damages and find a way to repair it.

This route should be removed, as the area is now under conservation to prevent further habitat deterioration and restore the most degraded area currently within SAC. Footpath erosion, together with ongoing wind and water erosion, is rapidly reshaping the mountain's landscape.

Massive restoration work in this saddle. Fence now in place, however, the fence is not covering the entire working area.
Hikers/walkers should avoid this area.
