About Elliott

An avid cyclist, runner, and outdoorsman, my edits tend to focus around outdoor features that I spot along my activities. I especially enjoy adding green items to the map, e.g. parks, nature reserve, paths, playgrounds, and woods. I use a Garmin bike computer to navigate on the roads which is powered by OpenStreetMap, so I’m attentive to routing issues for bicycle and pedestrian navigation.

OSM History

I joined the project in 2009 but started contributing more actively when fellow geography undergraduate PhilR8 and me decided to detail map our college campus, Towson University, around 2011. Since then, I’ve led several major building imports and an import of Maryland’s parks and protected lands. In 2021, I joined the Data Working Group
