Changeset When Comment
125749056 almost 3 years ago

Stop adding "addr:street=Boadi" to your buildings.

Also adding the changeset before all those hashtags is much more useful.

You really don't need to put the quantity of what you have mapped in the changeset comment :)

Thanks for mapping. Kindly avoid connecting buildings to roads as you did here. Also, learn about good changeset comments and tell you mapped instead of just uploading with only hashtags that are not helpful to yourself and other mappers. Read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Thanks for mapping. I have moved the name to this node osm.org/node/10014212504 works best to have the name on place=* node near a major road.

Can you help clarify the relation to osm.org/node/1794371185 as the names look similar with different locations.

Hi,

Thanks for mapping. Chps compound is better tagged with osm.wiki/Tag:amenity%3Dhealth_post

Hi, thanks for mapping.

Changeset comments like this make no sense and are meaningless to you and other mappers. Kindly read osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments and use meaningful comments that describe what you did, e.g. added residential buildings

Hi,

Can you please clarify this deletion?

Best,

Hello Donkor,

I have just reviewed your contributions, with some minor modifications. Looks great already!

Note that you don't need to fill in all attributes (tags - osm.wiki/Map_Features) when mapping, for example, https://osm.mapki.com/history/way/1091686818

It is also better to map villages/towns as a node at the centre of the village near a road (don't connect the node to the road). See osm.wiki/Tag%3Aplace%3Dvillage

Best,
Enock

Thank you for mapping! I wished everyone who participated in the Census like yourself can do what you just did here.

I am happy to help if you have more to add. I have also sent you a message with useful resources.

Happy mapping!

Hello Angela,

Thanks for mapping. I am wondering where the buildings in the sea are coming from. Can you please clarify?

Hello kwakuawork,

Welcome to OpenStreetMap (OSM) and thanks for trying to map hiking trails.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of things to look at, such as connectivity and best tags. The Hiking OSM Wiki page osm.wiki/Hiking gives you idea about mapping in this context.

Can you also tell what the various points represent ? i.e. Pineapple Exit, etc. This way we can find how to better map them as they presently represent nothing to yourself and other map users

Best,
Enock

Hi bridget_d,

Thanks for mapping. Not all buildings here appear to be rectangular. Also, try to represent the building footprints as best as possible.

Here is a resource on mapping buildings in JOSM https://learnosm.org/en/josm/josm-more-plugins/

Also, use good changeset comments instead of just random hashtags that do not tell anything about your changes. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Thanks for mapping. It would be nice and useful to yourself and other mappers to use a good changeset comment rather than leaving it blank. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Thanks for removing all those ghost buildings. Please kindly avoid using OpenStreetMap as a toy box and mapping non-existing features in this manner.

Also learn to use Good changeset comments that describe what you have actually done, see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments

Happy Mapping

Hi sommerluk,
Thanks for mapping it will be nice to use changeset comments that tell what you have mapped instead of just '-'. See osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments
Danke!

Hi R66_Mapper,
Welcoem to OpenStreetMap.

Savelugu I am not when it became a city with 100k+ people. Kindly avoid changing town to city in Ghana.

Also, keep changeset in a sizeable area.

Dear Cute Lady,

Thanks for mapping. Unfortunately using a series of hashtags that do not tell anything relating to what you have mapped here is a very bad practice. Please kindly use meaningful descriptions that describe briefly what you did.

Hi Alifo Ruth,

I don't know where you are getting these ghost buildings from. They seem not to exist.

Your changeset comment #vacchallenge is also not helpful; it doesn't tell what you have mapped here.

Could you please clarify what you are trying to do here?
