155683183 | 11 months ago | Hi, thanks for mapping, kindly zoom enough to see existing objects before adding new one to avoid duplicates and overlaps. Also avoid attaching the building nodes to roads. I have resolved these issues here now. |

155486866 | 11 months ago | Hi, kindly zoom in enough to see existing features before adding new ones to avoid duplicate and overlapping ways as in this this changeset. I have reverted this changeset and other overlapping ones here. |
155470407 | 11 months ago | Hi, It will be very helpful to yourself and other mappers to have a good changeset comment i.e. human-readable text in addition to all these hashtags which doesn't say anything useful, see osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments |
145350829 | 12 months ago | Hi, when mapping ways ensure they actually connect to other near by ways instead randomly adding multiple isolated ways. |
154714794 | 12 months ago | Hi, let only one and only one OSM element represent one feature type, that is you should map the hostel as a point if it already exists as a closed and vice versa see osm.wiki/One_feature,_one_OSM_element I have merge some information from your nodes |
154794117 | 12 months ago | Take note of the inner ways of multipolygons to avoid tagging them as something they are not, see osm.org/way/1305485071/history , osm.org/way/1307742834 and others |
154239798 | 12 months ago | Hi EkowYaw, thank you for trying to fix the route ref, unfortunately you changed the values of route relation osm.wiki/Relation:route . If a way is part of multiple routes and you can specify both refs using semi-colon as the separator see osm.org/way/475152362#map=15/5.4144/-0.794 This changeset and following ones have changed the route ref from IR6 to IR8 and then to N10 including other tags, however this relation is IR6, I will proceed restore the correct details. Happy mapping! |
89803994 | 12 months ago | thanks for mapping, one feature should be represented with only one element either as a closed way or node.
Eg. here you mapped parking spaces as both nodes and areas. Only an area or as a node is enough but not both. I hope this helps. Happy mapping. |
148321877 | 12 months ago | Hello and thanks mapping.
Here is a Beginner's guide for getting started osm.wiki/Beginners%27_guide I hope will help you to improve data you have added. |
155118931 | 12 months ago | Hi, the geometry of the buildings mapped can be improved. This short video should help you with mapping buildings with iD editor https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1YJV6I_rhY You might also want to consider mapping other features on the ground if you have local knowledge about this place. e.g. schools, street names, banks, etc Happy mapping! |
100662767 | 12 months ago | Hi, even though imagery available in OpenStreetMap is ever changing and very out-of-date on this part of the world, not much would have changed in small villages around here. Kindly avoid massive tracing of every tiny way as "highway=residential". |
154823406 | 12 months ago | Hi Shevshenko, welcome to OpenStreetMap. Please don't do this. This is not how we contribute to OpenStreetMap using mobile applications. Adding real features on the ground such as shops, schools, churches, street names, etc is much more helpful. |
154113421 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap and thanks for mapping. Kindly zoom in enough to see existing features before adding new ones to avoid duplicates and overlaps. Please do not change tags if you are not sure about what you are doing. eg. changing a "landuse=residential" to "building=yes" If you need further info and help getting started see https://welcome.openstreetmap.org/ Happy mapping! |
146354483 | about 1 year ago | Hi,
|
153468542 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! It is best to improve existing objects either as a node of polygon rather that deleting and re-adding them. I have restored the deleted hotel node, converted to area around hotel and removed the name from the building. Happy mapping! |
152740470 | about 1 year ago | Hi, Welcome to OpenStreetMap. Kindly download existing OSM data before adding new one to avoid duplicates as in the case of this changeset which have added multiple overlapping features. |
152743425 | about 1 year ago | Welcome to OpenStreetMap! This changeset looks great :). It will be better to use a more descriptive comment for your future changesets eg: Add bar or added bar, etc. Find out about recommended good changeset comments at osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments Happy mapping! |
151778888 | about 1 year ago | Hi,
Also check for existing data, here buildings, not to add overlaps and duplicates. You can remove the names from these buildings and also delete overlapping ones. Happy mapping! |
149372302 | about 1 year ago | Hi, welcome and thanks for mapping. I have reverted this change because the imagery by default has an offset, which is no fault of yours but should not be used to add/delete existing data that might look wrongly mapped. This guide about iD for beginners should be helpful https://learnosm.org/en/beginner/id-editor/ |
