In this changeset, a bus platform was extended to be twice as long as in reality (which can be easily checked on Mapillary) and furthermore it was tagged as a ford (???). I have reverted it.

I cannot get the WMS to work, but the map at https://karta.eskilstuna.se/webb/ has a copyright notice "© Eskilstuna kommun, © Lantmäteriet MS2006/1416". Using copyrighted maps as a source for OSM is not allowed, see osm.wiki/Copyright#Proprietary_data If this was the source map (or another map without licensing that clearly makes it usable for OSM), this changeset and others using the same source must unfortunately be reverted.

Jag förstår inte riktigt, "ingår i en multipolygon och har rollen inner" är väl också en egenskap, även om den inte uttrycks med taggar? osm.wiki/Tag:natural=land fanns förut, men avvecklades för att multipolygoner fyller samma funktion. Det var innan jag hade börjat följa med i vad som hände "bakom kulisserna" på OSM, så jag vet inte hur diskussionerna gick då. Angående place-taggarna tror jag att de är mer lättbegripliga om man tänker sig name-taggen som primär, alltså "Här är något namngivet, vad för något? En ö" snarare än "Här är en ö, vad heter den?"

Fast det markeras redan av att den är inner i multipolygonen. Place-taggarna är till för namngivna platser enligt osm.wiki/Key:place

I just reverted to a previous tagging without considering how established it was, but you're right, place=peninsula is a better syntax. I've changed it again.

Swedish maps are by default covered by copyright and database rights. There is no general exemption for works of state agencies. The state has released certain datasets as CC0, but this must be stated explicitly. If there's no copyright information in the brochure, we have to assume that it is copyrighted and this changeset must unfortunately be reverted.

Route 70 was recently rebuilt, so the aerial imagery is not up to date. Please be careful when you notice things that don't fit the aerial imagery.

Did the brochure have any copyright information? The legal document that creates the national park https://www.naturvardsverket.se/Documents/foreskrifter/nfs2018/nfs-2018-1.pdf states "Gräns för nationalpark [boundary of national park] © Naturvårdsverket, 2018" on the maps. Sorry, but just because the maps are "free as in beer", they are not "free as in speech". OSM is quite strict about copying from other maps, see for example https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Licence/Licence_and_Legal_FAQ#Can_I_copy_from_google_or_other_similar_sources.3F . "Fair use" is a well-defined legal concept in the US and some other countries http://infojustice.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/band-and-gerafi-2013.pdf but not in the UK (where OSM is based https://wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/About ) or in Sweden.

Could you specify what you mean by "tourist info material"? Much tourist info material is copyrighted, or falls under database rights, see osm.wiki/Copyright#Proprietary_data . The best way to map a bus route is to travel with the buses, but sometimes it is also possible to make educated guesses how the buses run from the locations of bus stops with signposted route numbers. Skånetrafiken's maps, on top of being copyrighted, are often too simplified to show exactly which street a bus route runs on anyway.

osm.org/user/Dosmankan who originally raised the issue also e-mailed Maps.me about it, so I haven't been involved in the Maps.me side.

It was pointed out in osm.org/note/1473383 that islands have started to disappear from maps.me, and I suspect that it's because this multipolygon doesn't contain the islands in the Gulf of Bothnia. I'm not sure if it should be considered a data problem or a rendering problem. The multipolygon is terribly bulky as it is...

shelter_type=public_transport is not deprecated. This wiki edit osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Tag:amenity%3Dshelter&diff=1339530&oldid=1339496 was not preceded by any discussion. Mapping shelters separately is useful for several reasons:
* It helps with osm.wiki/OSM_for_the_blind
* amenity=shelter bench=yes contains more information about the bench than public_transport=platform shelter=yes bench=yes -- in the latter case we don't know whether the bench is inside the shelter or next to it
* Bus shelters are useful for other groups than bus riders, for example bikers caught by rain, and having one tag for all kinds of shelters reduces preprocessing
All the deleted shelters should be restored.

Hej! Det bär emot lite att skriva det här eftersom du uppenbarligen har lagt ner mycket jobb på den här ändringen, men det är inte riktigt så vägklasserna på OSM funkar. De är till för att ange vägens betydelse i vägnätet, som bara på ett ungefär matchar med vägstandarden. För att det ska gå lätt att avgöra vad som menas med "betydelse" är det i sin tur kopplat till den officiella indelningen av vägar i olika länder, så att i Sverige är t.ex. "huvudväg" oftast stamvägar (dvs Europavägarna och de viktigaste riksvägarna, t ex väg 50 söder om Falun eller väg 56, men inte väg 49 eller 51) medan "primär väg" är andra riksvägar. Det finns undantag, vanligare ju mindre vägarna är, men de är i så fall motiverade av vilka platser som vägen förbinder. Det finns lite mer information på osm.wiki/Key:highway

Det här blev väl inte riktigt rätt? Rondellen var färdigbyggd för fyra år sedan osm.org/changeset/25534830 så det är construction=-taggarna som borde tas bort snarare än att ändra tillbaka till highway=construction, eller?
