39297743 | about 9 years ago | Hi, please do not mass tag a bunch of islands with the generic name "Quần Đảo Trường Sa Việt Nam" and do not delete other objects already existing in the region. If you want to add the specific Vietnamese names for objects, that would be helpful and you can do that with name:vi=*. Best, Ethan aka FTA |
39127351 | about 9 years ago | Hi, please don't make changes for the render--especially in regards to administrative boundaries. See osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer for more information. |
39278877 | about 9 years ago | Hi, I commented on osm.org/changeset/39148570 last week about minimizing the coverage of edits in the same changeset. Can you try to separate edits from across the world into multiple changes? Otherwise, monitoring local edits is more difficult. |
39229199 | about 9 years ago | Hi there, you seem to have added a hospital node to the center of a street. This makes me think you are perhaps importing data? Where did you get the address information? There is already a Meriter Hospital object just a few feet east from here. Happy Mapping,

39176833 | about 9 years ago | Hi, the source you list is unfortunately not compatible with the license terms of OpenStreetMap--in other words, we can't use that as a data reference. Based on your username, however, it looks like you are personally familiar with this road and its name? I went ahead and removed the ref=* tag you had added as the ref=* tag is used for a particular road number reference...for example, US Highway would have ref=US 6. Let me know if you have any questions! Happy Mapping,

39132667 | over 9 years ago | Hi, is there any way you can confine edits across the world to separate changesets? It's difficult see what exactly was changed when the bbox covers nearly all longitudes. |

38876839 | over 9 years ago | Hi, where is this data coming from? |
38204767 | over 9 years ago | Hi! I noticed this changeset deleted all of the parking lots in the Erie Campus area, some which contained specific information (like capacity, supervision, etc.). Was that intentional? |
37326633 | over 9 years ago | Hi, welcome to OpenStreetMap! I noticed you added some keys that are a little strange. Category usually is indicated instead by something such as amenity=, shop=, office=, etc. You also duplicated the keyword tag, but the uncapitalized form is preferred. Let me know if you have any questions. Ethan aka FTA |
36551862 | over 9 years ago | Hi, have you surveyed these street names? Are they from a compatible source? I ask because these streets have been named with the direction names as suffixes until recently, when a user changed them but then asked for the data to be reverted back because of an incompatible source. Best, Ethan aka FTA. |
37258771 | over 9 years ago | Reverted changeset was osm.org/changeset/37240612 |
37240612 | over 9 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap! I see you were trying to add a business in the Honolulu area. Unfortunately, you put all of the information on the actual city boundary. In addition, you modified streets on the other side of the planet. I have reverted these changes for now. If you need any help in adding something, I'd be happy to assist...just send me a message or comment back on this discussion. Happy Mapping,

37140212 | over 9 years ago | Hi! Welcome to OSM! You seem to have placed this node in the middle of a recreational field. Have you surveyed this business location? There are also some strange key tags associated with this data. For example, Business Hours should really be opening_hours. |
36609455 | over 9 years ago | Great, thanks! |
37059352 | over 9 years ago | This route crosses an international border, right? Canada -> U.S.? Wiki pages suggest this should be tagged with icn (e.g. osm.wiki/Cycle_routes#Relations, osm.wiki/DE:Tag:network%3Dicn), a tag that is in use (http://taginfo.osm.org/tags/network=icn#overview). If that is the case, we should aim for the correct tagging regardless of history instead of tagging for the renderer ( osm.wiki/Tagging_for_the_renderer). Where are icn routes not rendering? It may be that we just need to mention to whoever creates the tiles you refer to that icn routes aren't showing up. |
36609455 | over 9 years ago | Are these "fingers" of the park still part of Owen Park? If so, we can create a relation and add them with osm.org/way/28565569 |
36971444 | over 9 years ago | Hi and welcome to OpenStreetMap. I noticed you added a node that appears to have many key tags that are not normal to the project, perhaps instead copied from some source or spreadsheet. Can you provide a little more information about the source of your data? Is this an import of it or has this been surveyed? Thanks and welcome! Ethan aka FTA |
36747092 | over 9 years ago | Hi, it appears you have imported a bunch of data into OSM. Beyond the discussion of licensing and verification of this data, the nodes don't even have correct OSM tags. Could you provide some more info on where you got this data and why you added it? Have you discussed this import at all? See osm.wiki/Import/Guidelines |
35309100 | over 9 years ago | Hi! Welcome to OSM! Let me know if you have any questions about the project...I'm happy to help out :). One thing I will point out is that we usually add only the name of the city in the address field. So in this case, for osm.org/node/3835918468 it would be addr:city=Ottawa as opposed to City of Ottawa. Happy Mapping,
