Question about Garmin and removal of time stamps | The best way to log on a 60csx is to log direct to the data card. It saves directly to dated GPX files. The built in save track mechanism on the 60csx is silly, it hugely simplifies the route and as stated drops the timestamps. Alternatively use GPSBabel to download the active tracklog which isn't simplified. |

if-modified-since for tiles | If I recall last-modified was dropped because apache uses an AND (as per RFC) on subsequent requests supplied with etag and if-modified-since, which was causing much lower hit ratio. |

Gzip for compressing planets | planet.osm is compressed using pbzip2, you will likely be able to get slightly faster decompression speed using pbzip2 instead of bzip2. |
