Never mind, found a match from Deped's EBEIS: "Francisco A. Relacion Senior High School" , № 345844.

Thanks for confirming the location! Keep up the good work.

Thank you for confirming the location of Lantian Elementary School. The school you identified as "Senior High School in Labangas" doesn't seem to match any school from the DepEd database, would you know the school's actual name?

Thanks for catching this typo! 👍

Hi there! Cool to see a fellow OsmAnd user.

This school feature you added has been added in OSM 10 months ago, and should've been visible in your app. I'll be removing this duplicate feature.

Please avoid adding duplicate features, but feel free to continue updating local features to further enrich OSM.

Thank you for adding the street names in Poblacion, Numancia. That was awesome @d00i!

I fixed the "St." abbreviations, and spelled them out, as is conventional for feature names.

Thanks for catching this, @seav. Feature confirmed with Mapillary imagery.

Thank you for contributing to the map! Does it have a store-front for retail purchases? If so, you can also add shop=bakery.

If it doesn't have a store front, and only produces baked goods, you can add craft=bakery.

Adding these "tags" will ensure that a proper icon is displayed on the map.

Thanks for keeping the features up-to-date in San Carlos City.

I hope we can count on your help for the #OSMaPaaralan project, to locate the schools volunteers failed to verify in San Carlos: https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges?challengeSearch=123.16326141357423%2C10.43919552993234%2C123.58795166015626%2C10.674440919290118&keywords=osmapaaralan&location=intersectingMapBounds

Hi there. Please do not use public_transportation tags for stations that no longer exist. These tags are meant for active stations in use today.

If there are any remnants of these historical features, they may be tagged with how they are on the ground today.

If you are keen on mapping historical features, please check out https://openhistoricalmap.org project.

Hi @Rafael_Serapio. Welcome to OpenStreetMap, and thank you for your edits.

It seems that you're keen on railway-related features. Me, and some mappers I know, are also keen to find where the old railways are now. One I know who's from Rizal, always reminds us how these old narrow railways could have been made into bicycle highways/greenways today, but that's more a theoretical discussion since most of these railways were already razed.

Anyway, you should take note, however, that historical features , (i.e. the feature is no longer in active service) should not use the tags that represent amenities in current use.

For example, this "Old PNR Guadalupe Station" you modified is incorrectly tagged as a public transportation station (public_transport =station.) It may have been one in the past, but that's no longer true. You may remove the tag altogether, or tag it as (razed:public_transport =station.)

Look into the life cycle prefixes more more information: osm.org/wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

If you need any help fixing these edits, please feel free to say so. You can also ask questions in any of these local community channels: osm.org/wiki/PH

OSM is more focused on what's on the ground, and what's being in use, and of course, historical features may also added. If you're more interested in the latter, you might want to check out https://www.openhistoricalmap.org/

It's probably better to use a direct URL to an image of your hotel for the "image" tag.

That way, third-party apps who consume OSM data will display a nice photo of your hotel instead.

Hi there! Thank you for your school grounds edits in OpenStreetMap. They've been very helpful, and complements the on-going OSMaPaaralan project: https://hackmd.io/5WA7UUsbS4eEJNIz44nZBw

Your mapping style appears very similar to another contributor, osm.org/user/JveTheSvyr .

Do you know each other? Also, do you happen to be working with the local DepEd office, since your edits seems focused mostly on schools?

Cheers

By the way, are you, by any chance, connected with DepEd?

Hi there! Thank you for adding these school grounds.

It made some of the harder OSMaPaaralan tasks much easier. You might want to take a look at the project, in case you're keen to add more schools in the region.

Here's the project's micro-tasking manager: https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/9413

And there's more information about the initiative here: https://hackmd.io/@osmph/HyPPrC6Z7

Please do not modify street names based solely on street sign boards.

If you review the whole stretch of this highway, it's called "P. Sanchez Street", and "Sanchez" is only a short-form.

Use the short_name tag, if you like.
