99999999 is definitely a cooler number than 100000000

Hi, what's the use for all these Household tags?
They are non-standard and don't appear to be part of a discussed import.

10000000 over 4 years ago

heh changeset 10M
100M isn't far off now.

Hi, please don't add individual trees like this. Mapping them as areas is proffered as individual trees are likely to go and are unmaintainable.

97408107 over 4 years ago

Ok maybe I'm not fixing it, the multipolygons are hard to deal with

97408107 over 4 years ago

Hi, it appears you used
`highway=pedestrian` + `area=yes` to map the sidewalks here.
This tagging should only be used for large areas, such as plazas. For this You should map it as a way and use `area:highway=footway` in *addition*.

See osm.wiki/Key:area:highway#Differentiation_area:highway_vs._area.3Dyes_on_a_highway

I'm fixing this myself, so don't worry :)

Should we add `alt_name=Hill Hill Hill Hill`? 😆

97226040 over 4 years ago

Ah that's all good 👍

97226040 over 4 years ago

Hi, I was wondering why you have removed the wikidata from way 229402435?
That is a part of the River Humber, so I don't see why it should be removed.
If this was just a mistake I will go ahead and fix it

In this case I actually think it's a different kind of fictional to what we normally oppose, it's not made up map data, the data is 100% correct.
It's just that the language isn't real

97231531 over 4 years ago

Hi, I see you are a long-time mapper so you should probably know this:
OSM is not a place for fictional data.

I understand that this data is harming nobody, and that it may be fun to have it.
But the wider community is likely to not agree and revert it.

Hi, it seems you have taken nodes from many places with low number counts, some that where deleted and some that were in use.
I'm not accusing you of doing this on purpose until I know more, but I just want to make sure you're aware you did this.
There's a *very* low chance that this was an accident, but it is possible.

Please can you try to make your changes in smaller areas in the future? (upload more frequently)
As you have created a large changeset for appears to be houses in different areas.

95000000 over 4 years ago

We hit changeset 95000000!
Keep mapping everyone!

:P
You're doing good work though :)

I kinda feel bad as I barely edit but discuss editing & OSM an awful lot.

That changeset count of yours :0

Now worries, this was a really easy change.
I'm unsure how long it takes Strava to update their info, probably around a week.

1 almost 5 years ago

OSM didn't always have changesets early on, there was some other system to add stuff.

90371475 almost 5 years ago

Checked all available imagery in JOSM, these are obviously not there.
Removed in changeset osm.org/changeset/90374940

I was doing the one building to make sure I got it right before doing the nearby ones in a similar detail.

I've calmed down now, all is ok.
Time for some sleep I think.

I've come to realise osmcha will see the "d*mn" and report it as suspect_word, I aplolgize, this was just me joking about spending half a day to figure out I needed to add one node where the roof:ridge crosses the edge in-between the two building:part.
