Hi Clay - Was wondering why you're doing this? I understood it was agreed that the railroad name/operator should be prefixed on N American railroad mains - especially with all of the UP/BNSF and CSX/NS parallel lines with identical subdivision names. Would love to know the reasoning behind your changes. Thx

btw, Context is that I was removing these tags but then noticed it was you that had added them, so I'm leaving them alone now.

Heya Jake - FYI all 'major' roads + residential & unclassified 'minor' roads are by default "motor_vehicle=yes". Is there a use case I don't know about where this tag is helpful to a datauser downstream?

Hey there - If you're going to plop down large polys of natural wood, please add as a relation, and mark the waterbodies and other non-wood areas as inner members! I can show you how to do this if you don't know how! Cheers! - Greg

@Warin No doubt. The portions of the line where rails are still extant has been tagged 'railway=disused'. As the rail trail is created from the old right-of-way the tagging should be changed accordingly.

Hi there - a few things:
1) Please try to keep your edits confined to one continent (preferably, one COUNTRY). A global-spanning edit like this (BC and Romania) clutters up change history for every area between the 2 furthest points
2) I have many questions about Hustler's University - the main one being, "WTH is this?" Is it real? You need to find the correct tags that actually describe what this is. Right now I want to delete it because it looks bogus - especially since "Hustler" isn't even spelled correctly. Can you fix this?
3) The warnings that iD presents to you when you submit a changeset aren't just fun fluff - they indicate that a feature that you edited has an ISSUE that must be resolved. While you didn't necessarily cause these 10 issues below, you would have gained favor if you tried to resolve them or at least had asked for help in resolving.

Thank you! So refreshing to get PRAISE in a changeset comment! :D
I of course had to fix some things when I went to look at this... I'm always a better mapper now than I was 12 months ago.

Hi there - You created a duplicate road here that I am deleting, fyi.

Yeah it's all gone. Thx for the effort - sorry to waste your time

So far no go - I think I lost it all...

Also - I do use JOSM occasionally and although it's been a while since I've done a roll-back, I'm sure I could manage it.

Thx so much - Hold off on reapplying right away - want to see if the upload that's in a holding pattern will finally take.

I don't suppose there's any way I can convince you to back this change out and resubmit is there? I have 4 hours of work from yesterday that is currently hung out to dry due to conflicts on the railroad right-of-ways in Owego that you deleted.
I can't get the changes to come back in iD either - possibly because they're in limbo and still trying to submit.
I have no issue with your changes per se, in fact I'm glad you're doing what you're doing - I just made a LOT of road fixes NW of Owego and I'm dreading having to redo everything. Thx in advance...

It's honestly total chaos - just about every district seems to be doing something different with roads and trails than its neighbors. If you think the 4-digit stems are annoying, you'll hate the new TR prefix for trails.

That officially went into effect at the beg of 2021 btw

All stem FSRs are now supposed to be signed (or at least classed) as 4 digit numerals now (except for California, which apparently is allowed to do whatever they want). Granted most districts will take their time in re-signing (hell, most districts still have signs with the old "NF" prefix), but I'm bumping the stems to 4 digit when I see them.
When the 2 digit is part of the name I keeping the name the way it is though.
Hope that makes sense...

TBH, I did about 5 mins of research (including looking at your photos) and I remember now is that the Mauch Chunk narrow gauge was the inspiration. That and looking at the grading of some of the curves had me thinking it wasn't standard gauge. Thanks for the heads-up!
