A better way to map B&B here: create a Node wherever the main building is, and tag it with as much data as you have on the business. Change or remove the area that you traced to reflect what is there. ("landuse=farmyard"?) Maybe add the relevant roads and parking lots if there are any missing from the map.

The trail that you drew won't show up on the map as is because it is missing a tag such as "highway=*" Assuming this is just a small, informal path, it does not make sense to have a "name=*" tag.

You should add the tag "building=office" or simply "building=yes"

Consider moving the tags of the Node [osm.org/node/6291681062] you created for the elementary school to the Way [osm.org/way/671875817] you created for the same school. Then delete the node.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to have a node and a way representing the same object, but in general, the best practice is to have only one OSM object for each feature.

Since the Area you traced is the boundary for the apartment complex, it ought not be tagged with "building=*"

My quick fix would be to delete the Way you created and create a Node in its place with {place="neighbourhood", name="University Gate Apartments"}

The wiki is pretty useful for learning how to translate real-world features into OSM tags...
