I live in Fort Worth, TX, and have recently geolocated 367 emergency location signs that appear in parks and trails in Tarrant County, of which Fort Worth is the county seat. I would like to contribute them to OSM, but so far have not figured out the best/correct way to tag them. Any ideas or help out there? Thanks in advance!

You probably want
emergency=access_point

What is an ‘emergency location sign’? What is an ‘emergency location’?
Is it the sign you’d like to add, or the emergency location?

An excellent article about 911 location signs can be found at https://www.trwd.com/911-signs-enhance-trail-user-safety/
I have geolocated at least 367 of them on trails shared by walkers and bicycle riders in Tarrant County in Texas and would like to add them as points on OSM. They are two-sided signs placed at eye level on square metal posts that show one’s location on the trail and hopefully help decrease the emergency response time when one calls a 911 dispatcher.
Unfortunately, they do not fit any of the descriptions for the key “marker” (i.e., “Shape and function of a physical spot indicating underground utility infrastructure, highway milestones or private property limits”). Physically they resemble most street signs that show the names of streets at a given intersection, and really have nothing to do with highways.

I have decided to enter the 911 locations signs as nodes to the trails they are assigned to. Their names will be alphanumeric, with a digraph or trigraph followed by one, two, three, or four digits. A few will be hyphenated.
