I've reacted on your blog but it doesn't seem to come trough.
I find your idea quite interesting. Maybe there could be another option: only allowing people to do this game by bike. This way you can promote this game as a outdoor sports game.
If you're planning on getting this project started. I want to help. I know how to program in object oriented Java but I have no experience with graphical programs.

Hi Sanderd17, apologies for the blog - it requires all comments to be moderated and I've been away from the Internet for much of the evening.
Yes, I'm sure there's lots of options you could think of for use only on bikes / when walking, etc. You could take the basic idea and spin out a load of different apps from it.
I'm not sure what would be needed to turn this idea into a reality, I was going to have a brief think and write another blog post. Please check back and get in contact if you would like to help out.
Cheers, Joseph

Interesting idea. I was thinking it could work better with a simple scoring system. Let's say 100 points for finding a new pub (only awarded after another player confirms it). Confirming an existing pub, 50 points. Unconfirm a faulty entry, 50 points. Adding extra detail, 10 points for each entry.

Hi liftarn - that could also work well, and would likely be simpler to implement. Any development would include, I imagine, a number of play modes for testing.
Cheers, Joseph
