Luckily it's easy to correct. But yes, Organic Maps is relly confusing there; I don't know why they don't simply put the "local language" field always on top. :/

Oh thanks, I wasn't aware. My thinking was that someone calling a local restaurant or shop is already in the country and hence wouldn't need the country code. But ofc happy to add it from now on!

Oh thank you for correcting it. I was adding those using OrganicMaps and the app seems to only offer those language fields (EN, FR, DE as preset options). Let me check if the devs on Github already know that that's a problem.

Hi hi, I hadn't seen the note, sorry. No house number quite yet, but the building has been renovated clearly to be residential including a brand new apartments door. If you feel like assigning the number was premature, please feel free to revert and add at a later stage.

Okay, thanks. I'm still in the learning process about how those tags are decided upon by the community. But if we rely on the wiki on this I'm happy to leave the tag as is for now. Have a great day too.

Hi @bxl-forever, thanks again I think I understand the surveillance tags better now. In the wiki it sounds as if the surveillance=yes (or better =indoor) can be used to "indicates whether a location is under surveillance". Do you think it would be good to use it with "indoor" for restaurants, potentially combined with "surveillance:type=camera"?

Hi, thanks for asking. I had seen this tag in other places as saying there was video surveillance in that restaurant. Sorry if this is not the way to use it, I shall look it up.

I literally did this because you told me so bxl-forever, when I added Rue de Commerce's cycling "path" a few weeks back. Couldn't find our convo from then (really need to look into this) but I'm pretty sure you told me to not mark roads as "no cycling lane" just because there isn't painted one the road as this would break bicycle routing. So if you know the answer, which is it then?

Seriously, I appreciate you looking out for me but as far as I see this path doesn't represent the crossing (aka the road) but merely connects the paved beginning of the footpath with the road. Otherwise it would be a path that stops in the middle of the road wouldn't it? So IMO it should be marked with the same paving as the footpath.

Thanks bxl-forever, I honestly did not associate this change with the pedestrian crossing but with the bus stop (which has a high kerb). Can't check now any more how this looked in the app but will pay attention next time.

Hi again, very good advice thank you. I've been cyclist in Brussels for over 10 years now and been wondering indeed how to map this kind of street. Will use the option you mention from now on when mapping with StreetComplete in this kind of street. (Handelsstraat even has old faint rests of a bicycle sign painted on the pavés so I've been wondering how to do this right :)

Thanks bxl-forever you are right, the same was true for another POI I created. Sorry for that!

Hi José, I can confirm that it existed in June 2018 which is when I bought food there. If the note above is more recent it may be correct. It's a tiny shop (like all shops in this remote area), so possible that it moved or closed.

Hi there, I was wondering to what extent it's a good idea to mark wild camping spots as "camp ground" (or at all actually) on OSM. I've seen those all along the silk road b/w Uzbekistan and China and while they may be useful for some overland travellers (especially cyclists such as myself), they also draw people to specific spots that are often on private land -- and definitely no camp grounds.
