software for Sony Ericsson W300i

Skrevet af Jancis den 2 september 2009 på English

Maybe this can help someone (or maybe someone can suggest me better one). I have this few years old Sony Ericsson W300i and a bluetooth GPS device. The software I am using is TrailExplorer by Tommi Laukkanen. I am using version 1.10 because newer one didn`t work for me.

I always save gpx kml and track, because saving gpx for more than approx. 1 hour long trail hangs up and work is lost. Then I just convert it from KML to GPX using some home-brewed php script (but it ain`t that good anymore).

If you wish to convert between gpx and kml, I'd recommend you try out gpsbabel. It runs on win / lin / mac.

Did you try gpsmid (gpsmid.sf.net)? I use it for my logging. Not perfect, but it can show you the local osm (vector).

many thanks, jutezak. At first i thought there will be some difficulties with importing vector data (because I couldnt believe 3Mb jad file can carry data for whole country)..but when I saw my recent edits in my local town, I was really happy to find this software. It has really great features, and even voice for routing, it is amazing!
