66007122 | over 6 years ago | Hello, What is the intended meaning of "Toronto (city)" label osm.org/node/6182594235, and what is the meaning of its position just off Bridle Path? Why is it place=county while the Toronto admin_centre is place=city? The Toronto relation osm.org/relation/324211 now has an admin_centre as well as the label, it seems that default OpenStreetMap.org render the admin_centre, but the label comes up in searches. See osm.org/note/1697520 for one such question. Does the separate label node serve a purpose I am not familiar with? It seems that Hamilton has the exact same situation as well. |
62652176 | over 6 years ago | Hi DK28082, Thanks for your updates here. You added name "60 Avenue" to osm.org/way/297362491. A note has been created osm.org/note/1568353 saying that this isn't a name, and the road is just a nameless parking access road. Could you doublecheck and confirm which is correct? |
67692166 | over 6 years ago | changed "Ninth" to "9th" because I browsed to the intersection from the north, and it's all spelled "9th" north of here. I see that south of here it's all "Ninth", I don't know which is actually correct and this edit isn't meant to an indication of correctness one way or another |
66622399 | over 6 years ago | Cheers, thanks for checking on this. |
67521287 | over 6 years ago | Awesome, thanks again for keeping this up to date. |
67521287 | over 6 years ago | Thank you for keeping up with this project. Much appreciated. Just to double check, are osm.org/way/435698679 and osm.org/way/139270736 still access=no, or is that an oversight? |
67590737 | over 6 years ago | Only south side of Queen was updated, I didn't survey the north side |
67560978 | over 6 years ago | Oh yes, changed osm.org/way/144056128 that looks to be driveable back to highway=service. Without this the parking lot was not reachable by cars... |
66622399 | over 6 years ago | Hello, is setting amenity=doctors on e.g. osm.org/node/6169558448/history really sensible? This is an eyeglass shop and an optometrist office. It's not really "a place you can go to get medical attention or a check up from a physician"... |
67444545 | over 6 years ago | Hi, this edit changed classification of one block of Yonge Street from "secondary" to "primary". Generally speaking classification should be consistent: not change without a reason, and match other streets in the area. All the major roads in Toronto are currently "secondary", and any change to that would have to be done on a much larger scale. Because of this I have undone this edit in osm.org/changeset/67446915 |
67378950 | over 6 years ago | Housekeeping for history tracking: this changeset undoes (though not reverts) osm.org/changeset/43530855 |
43530855 | over 6 years ago | Housekeeping: this changeset was effectively undone in osm.org/changeset/67378950 |
43530855 | over 6 years ago | Hello, This change does not seem to be correct. It deleted secondary_links and unified the road here into one roundabout. It isn't a roundabout though - traffic coming from Spadina Avenue has right-of-way over traffic continuing around Spadina Crescent, and secondary_link is a good classification here as main traffic is north-south and has 3 lanes whereas the east-west connectors are 1 lane slip roads. Please see osm.org/note/1685741 for further details. Could you correct it please? |
67208101 | over 6 years ago | Realized I tagged roads with embedded_rails=|tram|tram rather than embedded_rails:lanes=|tram|tram which is more correct. Sorry about that, I will fix it at a later pass. |
54837077 | over 6 years ago | This changeset has been reverted in osm.org/changeset/67147803 |
67106430 | over 6 years ago | This ends up undoing osm.org/changeset/63777113 |
63777113 | over 6 years ago | Hello, I passed by here last week - there is no pedestrian crossing here. Adding this pathway suggests to pedestrian routers that Homewood Avenue can be reached from the paths through Allan Gardens. This is unfortunately not correct, except by jaywalking, and jaywalking opportunities are generally not tagged in Toronto. I changed this in osm.org/changeset/67106430 |
66919953 | over 6 years ago | I think striving to render labels like "Toronto Centre" is a bit of a stretch. Same with "Don Valley West". Those exist more as borders than as points or centres. |
66840463 | over 6 years ago | Thank you for these updates! We've had a bunch of stores added in middle of streets and it's a great help to have people with local knowledge help sort them out. And keeping on top of new businesses is also very much appreciated. |
66980645 | over 6 years ago | Deleted a few Sunday Stops I found along the way. These are no longer served since a couple of years and are no longer signed. |
