Actual landuse types may need updating

Also worth noting, I updated the access requirements on Chequers Road in response to this letter Costco Derby customers are getting

> Costco Derby: Traffic improvements
> Dear [Redacted],
>
> Costco, Derby City Council and local bus operators have been working together to try and improve the traffic congestion that regularly builds around the Wyvern Way / Derwent Parade roundabout.
>
> From Friday 21st June 2024, new time restrictions will be applied to the bus lane (Chequers Road) that runs westbound adjacent to Costco's warehouse. The new restrictions will be implemented on an experimental basis for up to 18 months and if successful, will become permanent.
>
> The bus lane will now operate from 7am until 10am and from 3pm to 6pm, seven days a week. Outside of those times, any vehicle will be able to use the bus lane.
>
> The aim is to increase the efficiency with which members can access Costco, therefore reducing the congestion on the main Wyvern Way / Derwent Parade roundabout. At busy times between 10am and 3pm, vehicles may be redirected down the bus lane and asked to enter Costco's car park from the western end.
>
> Clear signage will be in place at the start of the bus lane. Please be aware that Derby City Council's camera enforcement within the bus lane's operating hours will still continue.

Hi, I would like to refer you to this:

Oh this was bigger than expected. This adds some missing natural landuses just south of Lees Brook Academy in Chad.

Hi, some of these footways look like they were created programmatically. Have you checked on the ground that crossings exist in the locations you've pointed out?

Hiya, what is the NA references on roads used here? Should they perhaps be on more specific tags?

Hi, where did you get the German and Spanish names from? I didn't notice any German or Spanish signage when I visited.

I'm not too sure if that's an office or a shop, but I noticed the entrance node had the shop tag, no name, but the building way had the name, so I moved over the shop tag. The building was marked as an office so I also added the office tag.

Once again, apologies for the inconvenience! Merry Christmas (or other holiday!)

I've done my best to remap the misc fixes I made, but left the shop tag intact. I discussion still needs to be had, but more so in the form of a tagging proposal. Life is busy though so unlikely to happen.

Hi, sorry! Been very busy with work and life. Does this revert everything about those edits, or just the office/shop tags?

I found some places that were wrongly tagged as estate agents that where hairdressers or cafes etc

144920829 over 1 year ago

Hi Phil,

I don't believe these edits lose any degree of information. Given that the office=estate_agent tag is more popular and the shop=estate_agent wiki page mentions it's been proposed to merge the tags and that every Name Index entry for estate agents uses the more popular office tag, I determined it's worth doing some housekeeping.

The far majority of the approvals on the proposal for shop=estate_agent (which predates office=*) suggested using office=estate_agent (osm.wiki/Proposal:Estate_Agent)

For this reason, I feel the office=estate_agent tag is the de facto correct tag.

I'd be happy to discuss over a beer/coffee if I'm ever in Shropshire.

I've stopped for now though. Been messaged by SomeoneElse about it.

Oh, very good point/ feedback.

I need to delete and recreate the challenge anyway as there's a lot of false positives with old_ref and old_name on highways.

I'll update the challenge to mention the name is useful on closed businesses.

Tools like Street complete clean some of these tags up anyway

Hi, road outlines should be tagged with area:highway=* not area=yes + highway=*

No worries, I fixed a few in Monterroso

Hi, a lot of your directions are backwards on stop and give way signs.

Oh my god, you are a legend for finding that. Have you already corrected the tag or shall I?

I did a bit in the Wimpey Estate in Rumfields, but quickly realised it's a lot of work and Bing isn't very detailed

131636159 almost 2 years ago

I just want to say I love the level of detail you've done here! What inspired it?

I think I just accidentally restored this in my changeset here -> osm.org/changeset/142317492

Sorry about that. Might be worth putting a demolished:building=yes tag on it until Bing imagery updates
