Once again, this seems to be a pattern of changing rare tags into more common tags, even if valuable information is lost. I noticed that the natural=boulders tag was in use (although rarely) for a variety of locations like this one, and that it seemed appropriate. Unfortunately, the user that made this change has erased the natural=boulders tag from OSM with a set of similar changes.

Sounds like the 138561473 changeset could be reverted.

I've come across several changes by this particular user in my work on the Glossary of Landforms for the OSM Wiki (which I would love to have a real geophysicist look at!) and have noticed a pattern of changing rare tags into more common ones, even if valuable information is lost in the process.

If you think the original tags were correct, I think the 138206910 changeset could be reverted. I'd be happy to do that unless that's something you'd rather do yourself.

I intentionally used the natural=dry_wash tag here instead of natural=water + intermittent=yes. Why did you change it without discussing it with me?

I am reverting the changeset because I presume that the original mapper had correctly identified this feature, there is no direct evidence to the contrary, and magmatic dikes are common features in this part of Crimea.

I am not sure that the latest change of the geological=rock tag on Oberer Rodstein to material=stone is correct. Do you have any thoughts about the change?

I think the geological=landslide tag should be restored here, since the hazard=landslide tag refers to the location of signage indicating where landslides are common, and these features are not signs but the debris fields from prior landslide events.

A volcanic neck (or volcanic plug) is not a type of volcano, but a feature formed within a volcano and (in the context of OSM) exposed by erosion of the surrounding rock. I suggest we revert this to geological=volcanic_neck.

I'm going to change this back to geological=dome, since there's plenty of reason to believe this is the same type of feature as the Richat Structure.

Can we talk about the large scale change of natural=landslide to hazard=landslide? The way I understand the keys, hazard=* is for things that are an imminent danger. If a landslide is old enough that it hasn't moved significantly in a long time, it doesn't seem to present any imminent danger. That would seem to be the case for many (all?) of these features. In this case, the natural=landslide tag seems to be describing the landform created by the landslide. Were you thinking something else?
