Hi, I’m Kinsey (Kinsio in Esperanto, thus my username), official (not actually) resident mapper of Beaumont, Texas, USA. My activity level varies, but the main thing I do pretty consistently is surveying via SCEE and Every Door, though I also know my way around JOSM when necessary. Feel free to say hi :) I’m especially interested in connecting with anyone who wants to help with mapping Beaumont! If you’re local, maybe we can get something going here (as it stands, I mostly map opportunistically while I’m already out); if you’re an armchair mapper, I’ve got plenty of “I really need to work on fixing that Eventually™” ideas I’d love to share.

Some easy things you can do to help in Beaumont:

• Upgrade the landuse=residential nodes I’ve created while surveying to proper land use areas.
• Add stop signs. There are still plenty left even of the ones that Osmose knows about via Mapillary’s old Bing Streetside import, though you should obviously check more recent imagery to be sure as well.
• Draw buildings. Please. There are so many. 😭 I may even pass by them eventually and figure out what they are!
