According to wiki the bicycle=designated means there should be a special sign that allows using a bicycle, but there are some places where the sign or mark on the ground doesn't exist, but the road itself is just designed for both types of transport, legs and two wheels (around 2 meters wide) and it widely used by cyclists. But some apps like Komoot or Garmin for some reason are trying to avoid those roads because it's just marked as a footpath without any bicycle allowance. That why I was added bicycle=yes for a few obvious places. I understand that probably the best way is to ask the local government to add some signs or so to allow bicycles officially, but I guess the OSM map should reflex the reality at the first. Btw, I will check today maybe there're signs that I could miss and bicycle=yes might be changed to designated. Just note, the final decision to do that was the navigation improvement to avoid roads when obvious bicycle roads exist and reduce danger. The thing of how it will be visually marked in different app should be the second thing I guess. 🤔
