My plan is to delete all relations to public transport in the HBC then recreate them with the new information from AT’s website.

Currency new roads and or edits to the area have made them broken and incomplete.

I would suggest you do one route at a time.

Modify the old route relation to the new data. This keeps the history of the route/relation.

Roger that, but I don’t see why it would make sense to have a hisotry full of broken routes?

It may now be broken, it may not have been broken in the past.

By keeping the history you can see who has contributed to the information. It gives some idea of how it has evolved.

Generally it is a courtesy thing to do.
