This farmhouse, which incorporated an ancient bastle house, and its outbuildings were destroyed in 2017 during the opencast coal mining which has now been completed and the site restored - without these buildings being replaced.

As at May 2022, there is now a fourth exit off the roundabout going to Lidl, which is now open, and to the new hotel which is not yet finished.
