55125835 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Just putting this out there. I got a response back from Network Rail saying it's fine as long as we source the information. I've sent an exact quote to SomeoneElse just in case. |
55302140 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | It wasn't just for my own visualisation, there's other ways I can do that. I'd rather share when I can; unless it's confidential. I half agree with the 'arbitrary' part but I fully agree with you on the 'locality' tag, as it didn't seem right. As I said before I'd rather have done the boundary (which appears how it's documented), but last night someone had previously used a node and I wrongly assumed that was the method. I don't mind fixing it. Overall it's good that you pointed it out and it's a good learning experience. I prefer just to stick to rail lol. |
55302140 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | I also fixed its name to 'The Port of Hull' to match literature based on it. |
55302140 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | I've moved it to a better place (more centre and on land). I think it should be on the boundary but others had done a node, so a followed that pattern. Rather than displaying all the docks on my visualisation, I'd rather just have the port itself. This particular port is owned by ABP (Associated British Ports) and it receives RoRo (Ferries, Cars, Trucks) and LoLo traffic (Containers). |
55125835 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Yeah I knew that quote could back fire. I remember reading on the Network Rail website something similar. They don't however release information on equipment location (in case of theft). Hence why I had to do a FOI request. Which part of the text are you referring to when you say "explicitly prohibits use here". The only part of see is about sharing account details. My counter are as follows. 1. The PDF are publicly available to anyone online via their own website. 2. I'm only adding information from the already publicly available source. I have not and will not post any information that is not already available in said document. 3. There is already data contains LOR, ELR, speeds and loading gauges before I even started. It may be easier to send messages directly rather than comments. Also, I will do as you suggested with NR for further clarification. :) |
55125835 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | An example is the just the London North Eastern from the Network Rail site. It's 1186 pages but contains exactly the same information on the on-line version. |
55125835 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | There are downloadable PDFs on the link below. Because NR are publicly funded are required to be open on most things. You can ask for an account and you should have one in 10 days. The account makes it easier to find routes rather than trawling through an entire PDF. I've also put in a FOI request for all of rail signal locations in a spreadsheet for the LNE and LNW areas. They've approved and should have them by Jan 30th. |
55125835 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Sorry! I believe I made a mistake. I've hopefully fixed. I am adding it's speed limits, restrictions, etc... |
55138288 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Also, if you would like me to add desired information on a railway I haven't added yet, feel free to ask. i.e. restrictions, speed, ELR, etc.. |
55138288 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Yes, you are correct. I've added a small page as requested :) |
54997936 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Sorted and thanks for re-introducing me into Overpass. Very helpful! :D |
54956402 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Hopefully you should see it as fixed in the area you indicated. :) |
54956402 | prieš daugiau nei 7 metus | Apologies, I try to stick to lor and seq but because of that one time I had caps on or held shift for a tad too long, it sometimes comes up. But yes, I'll fix it :) |
53230915 | beveik prieš 8 metus | Sorry that the description is wrong. It was adding the speed limits according the Network Rail (NESA). |
